Favourite Leeds XI of last 15 years.

Was sat pondering at work today trying to come up with my favourite set of 11 players that have played for Leeds during the time I have been Consciously following them.... the last 15 years or so.
This doesn't necessarily means the best players.... but the ones that made me proud to support Leeds United.
My team was as follows
Martyn
Kelly
Radebe
Kisnorbo
Harte
Snodgrass
Bakke
Howson
Lewis (dont ask)
Viduka
Beckford
Interestingly none of the current crop are there although jason pearce deserves special mention for this season
Would love to hear people's thoughts on any changes that they'd make?

Both came into consideration and in fact I overlooked gradel.... I guess beckford holds a special place for THAT goal against scum.... never have I felt so elated watching a game of football

Dacourt over Bakke every day of the week and twice on Saturdays...

Howson, Delph Milner and Gradel would complete my midfield

Radebe, Woodgate, Kelly and Harte in defence

Martyn in goal and Beckford up front..

Hard to decide my striker Beckford will always be a favorite smith was a childhood hero for me and I'll never forgot the day I met him the whole man utd move was hard to take but I got over it. And out of the three viduka had more class and when he was on form and decided to turn up he was a real handfull was a joy to watch at times growing up. The goal against arsenal at end of the season is one of my favorite of his goals.

I couldn't begin to compile a LIST of favourite players from the past 15 years - let alone a team!
Has ANY other club in history had such a player turnover as Leeds, during in that time - if EVER? Imelda Marcos had fewer shoes than we've had players....

Immediately springing to mind tho: in terms of giving to (rather than taking from) our club...off the top of my head at 3AM!

Rads, Big Nige, Darcourt, JFH, Håland, Bowyer, Dom, Lewis, AHIFB, Douglas, Casper, Max, Kis, Lichaj, Nayls.

Radebe & Ferdinand are the best two CB's to grace the ER turf over the last 20 years or so !

At the time he was one of the most cultured ball playing centre-backs since Norman Hunter.....oh hang on minute Norm was a midfielder

You are brave selecting Rio & Smith in your line-up Milloy, our fans forget two of our greatest players in Giles & Strachan played for scum. Ferdinand was equally influential in our champions league side, a joy to watch as oppose to the rubbish I've witnessed since !

Just because I wouldn't have Ferdinand in a favourite team does NOT mean that I have forgotten the great Giles or Strachan.

What it does mean is he is not one of my favourite players, mostly for the way he was looking to engineer a move away.

Leeds were on the slide & I believe Ferdinand was the only player we actually made a profit on (£12m) when were in dire straits

Players are not going to hang around if they get a much better deal elsewhere.....human nature !

We made a significant profit on Woodgate.

In any case, this thread was about favourite players, not best players, and people have every right to have different favourites to you. I value Matteo's loyalty over Ferdinand's eagerness to join Man Utd, and for that reason he is more of a favourite

Is tough to put then both in but the whole man utd thing I can get over it. I was at rio's debut I was only about 13 but the guy was class. Radebe is my fav player off all time for leeds, i wasnt around to see the bremners and the giles so ibcan only go on who ive seen personaly play for the club.

My favourite XI, the players that most excited me and/or made me feel they were passionate about playing for LUFC. Chance of all 11 finishing a game on the pitch, slim.
