Detective Inspector Ian Lawrie, of West Yorkshire Police's Economic Crime Unit, said: "We were passed a report from Action Fraud for investigation on 19 May relating to an allegation of fraud. Following assessment of the report and further information received, the matter has been sent back to Action Fraud for further consideration.

Adam Pope @APOPEY 55m I understand that the DIFC Dubai's Deputy Chief Justice Chadwick has granted an order to freeze former #lufc MD David Haigh's global assets.
Justice Chadwick is understood to have also granted an order to search a property in Dubai.
Not sure what power a this Chadwick has "globally", but Dubai control the finance world it seems? Go down, tory boy!
So he had prepared a dossier on GFHC and was about to "dob" them in to the regulators but then was "tricked" into going to GFHC headquarters on the pretext of a significant job offer?? That doesn't ring true at all!!

Whatever the rights and wrongs of his case, whatever he did at Leeds, holding him without charge for so long is wrong - this is an abuse of human rights as bad as those that Tony Blair was keen to introduce over here.

I think the Doc got it spot on when he said that it looked very much as though Haigh is being used as a scapegoat by GFH-C. They seem very determined to keep him quiet about their actions over the period of their full ownership of Leeds. I do hope that all their financial shenanigans are exposed to public view. Perhaps Haigh is not the devil so many believe him to be?
