I've met him a few times, my brother in law is a friend of his, the last time I saw him was just after his move fell through to Leeds, the fact it fell through was he bought a dilapidated house 3 years earlier and spent a lot of time and money restoring it, Leeds insisted he moved closer to the City, his wife said no as the kids were settled in school plus she had her dream home, Bates said there was no discussion on it, so he moved to Blackpool for less money.
