Hopefully that's next on the agenda. I'm not sure I could cope with anymore good news this week though, not used to it after all these years!theleedsmango wrote:Transfer embargo has been lifted!
Was expected anyway, but at least being lifted this early in the season ensures we have ample time to get planning in place without having to pay the inflated prices as the windows draws to a close.
Let's get the coach situation sorted soon, and really start planning for next season

I wouldn't get too excited for anymore good news this week. Seems Chesterfield want redders as manager and if the rumours are to be believed on twitter. He attended their playoff game as a spectator last thursday.

So some bright spark on twitter has come to the conclusion that Redfern was at the play-off game on Tuesday evening & he was there for an interview with the Chesterfield board NOT to watch a football match eyeing potential signings (hopefully Beckford) as managers do !Brader wrote:I wouldn't get too excited for anymore good news this week. I've said it before, I'm over the moon that Cook has decided to sign up with us. From a club point of view, this was a necessity that should have been done along time ago for all our youth players. A lot to happen this window, a lot of good and bad things will inevitably occur, and a lot of making up ground has to be done. A one-year contract extension to one of the hottest prospects in England is the least I would expect... perhaps I'm asking too much?
Well MC said 2 seasons (Did he say challenge or get promotion?) he's had one so this is it, Pearson in, Cook resigned, Redders - as much as I appreciate the hard work he's put in will probably go, either to another club or back to Thorpe Arch. I just can't see him getting us promotion, can anyone else here?

Adkins also linked with QPR. If I was a manager out of work and was offered both Leeds and QPR I know which one of the two I would choose. LOL

Only Mirror reporting the Adkins link so not confirmed, but Hay has mentioned that no contact has been made between Redfearn and Cellino. Absolute coward. If he doesn't want Redfearn, announce it and say he isn't in his future plans. It's ruthless and unpopular, but would be a fair and dignified way of doing so. Someone pass him some bottles of whiskey, might be the only way to get the truth out of him.billie1 wrote:Leeds line up Nigel Adkins as manager before Neil Redfearn has been told he is out

Cairns, who made one senior appearances for Leeds, joined the Whites back in 2011.

Also, on the keeper front:
Adam Pope wrote:#lufc Southend United’s 21 year old goalkeeper Daniel Bentley has been named The Football League’s Young Player of the Month for April 2015.
#lufc Apparently he was who Massimo Cellino was watching when he went to Morecambe v Southend the other week.
