I think it is reasonable to expect Uwe to get us top half or maybe even top 10. I don't think it is fair to expect Uwe to deliver top 6 with the likes of Burnley, Derby, Fulham, Hull, Ipswich, Middlesbrough and QPR to name a few all being in my opinion stronger on paper in terms of a selection of proven championship quality players. If Uwe gets us top 10 I would judge the season to be a success. At the moment I think mid table looks more realistic a long way to go and a January transfer window yet.
sorry but a club with the statue of leeds united should be classed with the teams you have mentioned and as for having players with championship players I fully agree with you but you need to ask what clown brought all these players in.

Seems some people think we have a god-given right to win every match. Funny though how every team that looks awful agaisnt us and we should have comfortably beat somehow turn into much better teams when not playing us - such as Reading thrasing Ipswich, Bristol beating Boro etc. The simple fact is, that like Faiip points out, any team can beat any team in this division and we are one of only 4 teams still unbeaten.

We got a point today against a team that did the double over us last season and we didn't play great. This team is still adapting to 2 or 3 new first tea starters and playing a different way. There are bound to be bumps in the road but they deserve credit for getting a point out of a match where we played poorly and went behind.

Alarmed that Cooper for the 3rd match in a row has over committed and been turned inside out for the opposition's goal. Yes it was a poor Bamba error and Cooper initially did well to get back in to a position to challenge but to make the same type of error to over commit and be caught by an opposition player simply shifting from going one way to the other is very poor.

Ihave been watching quite a bit of lower league football recently and have seen some players with equal skill as those on show today who would cost peanuts but the one thing they have is passion.Money does not always buy success as a lot of clubs have proved in the past.

faaip wrote:I said last week when you were all lauding Bamba he was out of position too many times, He needs to stop marauding up field and he needs to play on the left side of centre..that means Bellusci comes back in for me. Murphy must start, he's the bet midfielder we have including Cook

I'm happy with a point, steep learning curve for Rosler and he's what 7 unbeaten games into his stewardship? He's got the team playing with heart and I remember Revies' Leeds weren't s**t hot every week, they got results when they played badly and that's what we did today.

and I'm getting a little tired of saying this but every team in this division can beat any other team.
Bamba has been making those type of mistakes since he came to us on loan but they are rarely highlighted or he gets away with it, yesterday he got his comeuppance for his casual clumsy footwork. Had Bellusci made similar mistakes he'd have got slaughtered by our fans. Don't get me wrong i like Bamba, great in the air & the best leader of men we've seen at ER in a long time but needs to realise he's not that clever on the ground !

Can't believe one of our best players Murphy isn't starting, He has got us back in the game everytime he has come on off the bench. Has to start v McCarthy's retirement home

And you are spot on Faaip every team can compete & beat each other in this league

Can't believe all the clubs scouts from the championship can't see what you see and have got these players signed up.

Up to a few years ago I watched quite a lot of non league football and there was very little quality on display, passion wasn't in abundance but players looking like they were enjoying having a game of football along with some great humour was in abundance. A good friend of mine manages a National League North side, I was talking to him on Wednesday and he said the enjoyment is going out of it, a team only has to have 2 bad results and the forums are awash with personnel insults and abuse, fans don't consider the realities of having lost your 3 best players to teams in the National League and having to replace them with the best you can within a few days of the season starting, you then get the team gelling and go unbeaten for 3 games(win2 draw 1) but not one positive comment from the same posters ( sounds familiar). It may be good to watch from time to time but the realities of non league football are not really any different to the supporters who go week in week out, to what most clubs endure in the top 4 leagues.

Leeds fans just amaze me. Totally shocked by some comments I have seen overnight and this morning on social media, I have even seen someone say we are looking at relegation with this set of players.

Bloody hell get a grip we are a team of relatively young players and a manager that is trying to implement a new philosophy and none losing mentality and also only 6 games into the season. Let's all take a deep breath and remember it's a long season and we ARE STILL UNBEATEN. MOT.

At no matter what level of football a team plays they can't simply turn up and win. Even the worst teams will usually have 1 or 2 players that can make a difference. 2 weeks ago that starting XI played Derby off the park in the first half. The real key to a successful team is not in having a great starting XI but in having a squad whereby if plan A isn't working there is the option to change it. Yesterday we had Antenucci and Murphy on the bench and Rosler made the changes.

We have so far been unbeaten this season, twice coming from behind in matches. The team certainly is not the finished article but the signs for me are good that the team hasn't rolled over when behind and in both games where we were behind we finished strongly and could have snatched all 3 points. If the team/squad continues on its upward development curve we will do well.

Disappointed not to win yesterday but happy to take a point in a match where we were 1-0 down and not playing well.

Fair enough point in the end - we certainly didn't deserve any more than that !

People are correct when they say Leeds have no God given right to walk games but the thing that really disappiointed me yesterday ( given how well we played at Derby ) is how we failed to get out the blocks until they scored - much like the Sheff Wednesday match and so many games last season.

Why can't a Leeds team start well at ER these days and really impose themselves on the opposition ?!
We should have been buzzing after that win v Derby yet by all accounts and even what Uwe said himself in he's post match conference, we were scared to play and pass the ball !! Just baffles me.

Anyway, really hope, like many others, that we go 4 4 2 on Tuesday. Ant deserves to start and I would play him instead of Byram who looks a shadow of what he was.
LEEDS AND FOREVER PROUD TO BE !!

The size of Leeds United as a football club doesn't matter in my opinion, it hurts to say this but Leeds aren't even the most successful club in the Championship Nottingham Forest are (2 european cups/champions leagues). It's not like Forest have had a fantastic last few years either (they haven't made the play offs for 4 seasons I think.) I think Cellino has done a great job, considering where Leeds where in April 2014 and the squad now I think is stronger than it was last season and 2013-2014. However, I said then (back in 2013-2014) that expecting the play offs was unreasonable as there were still at least 6 teams then who had stronger squads than us on paper in my opinion.

I think that is the first time this season Leon that I have given Adeyemi a higher rating than you have . I just think Murphy looks much more effective in the holding role than Adeyemi even if it is not Murphy's natural position  .

A draw was ok considering how the game went, maybe we could have nicked it but at the end of the day we didn't lose, unlike last seasons home record.
Like a few have posted earlier about the reaction of "fans" on social media it amazes me what planet they are on. Our record W1 D5 L0... That's Lost none, zero. Perhaps some of these people would be happier if we'd lost 2 or 3 games already like in previous seasons. Personally I'm quite happy how things are developing this season, a better squad, a manager who isn't scared to change the team to try and turn a game round, like yesterday,an exec director in Adam Pearson who's steadied the ship and knows the game and a chairman who's there but is seemingly taking a back seat. It's all positive and the results, I'm sure, will follow.

What really disappointed me today was the way that we didn't close Reading down. I thought the Bees were magnificent in the way that they tracked back and dominated midfield. For example as soon as Dallas got the ball, two players were on him. Some fans have said that Brentford is the best team they've seen so far at ER. That may be so but I think that was due to the way we played. We looked tired and lethargic and as usual didn't have the pace to deal with an away team hitting us on the break, or creating problems in their half.

This is the best squad we have had for several years but there will be ups and downs in what has become an exceptionally difficult league and I'm not sure that we have the quality for promotion, or even the play offs. How many years has it been since we dominated sides at ER. Playing 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 at home isn't going to win us many games.

Can't really blame Rossler though. Only natural that he would stick with the same team that won at Derby. A lethargic midfield, excluding, Cook, never gave Wood any support, so not really Rossler's fault.

However, I would like to see us play 4-4-2 at home. Antenucci is the one player with real skill and is the perfect foil for Wood.

Now watch me eat my words as we play 4-4-2 against Ipswich and get beat.

Starting Antenucci & Murphy doesn't guarantee us attaining a win but to be fair they are most effective players right now who have been really influential when we needed to up our game. I hope they both start, we have to more adventurous at home

As I said in a previous post we are becoming a team that is hard to beat as in we haven't lost a game (in the league) so far and that is a good place to start, if we can nick a couple 1-0, 2-1s then confidence will grow as we know even if the opposition score we will get at least one back. I didn't see the Brentford game so can't comment on that but based on the all the other games this season I'd say in the main we are better than last season and improving as the season progresses :)
