As for Cardiff being poor, they were unbeaten in their last six matches beating Boro' with draws away at Brighton & Ipswich & conceding only two goals in that run of six games. Then we have the stat of not beating Cardiff since 1984 going into a game where we haven't won at ER since March.
Yes Cardiff are nothing special but apart from Burnley i haven't seen a decent outfit in the championship yet, certainly nothing to scare me as was the case with Bournemouth & Watford last season
If I had my way Wootton wouldn't get in the team unless we had an outbreak of lymes disease and all but 3 of our defenders get it. Also yes Bamba has been off it lately but I rate him higher than Bellusci and I use to rate Bellusci more than Cooper but with everything that went on with the sicknote 6 and also his SHOCKING Middlesbrough performance I now rate him 3rd out of our usual centre backs. I didn't say move Mowatt I said play him more central which means not on the wing and I believe he was doing runs up the centre last night so thats fine by me.
I am not going to start saying our defenders was brilliant and rating them 7/8's when they didn't have much to do that's like giving a forward 1/2 out of ten when they didn't get any service. I mean how are they suppose to score when they don't even get a chance.

With Sam still off form and Taylor not likely to be back for a while, I don't think we have a choice about playing Wooton. Which is a shame because he's not at fullback.

Mowatt is not effective on the wing. He scored from a central position, so that's where he should start. Who is sacrificed for a winger, I don't know.
