I understand that many Leeds fans can't get to games for numerous reasons but what angers me most is the fact that Sky obviously have no idea where Brighton is in relation to Leeds and the difficulties getting there and back on a Monday night. For me personally it would involve two days off work and a room for the night in Brighton.
One idea would be to have a limit on the distance between the two teams for midweek games so that fans can get to the match and home again without too much inconvenience.
Same for me Rich too
That idea would require organisation from the Football League & Sky they want fans to stay at home to boost up their viewing figures, Sky don't give a monkey's chuff about Leeds fans, they just love having a big draw in the championship.
Sky know they will get good viewing figures with certain clubs plus they transmit them wordwide and pubs get good nights as well at one time I would go to the game no matter when it was sky or not but now its sky for me their way of showing games is second to none.

Good old sky
Would have been a bumper attendance had this game been played on the Saturday, probably our highest crowd of the season
I've heard (and I can't be sure of it's accuracy as it comes from waccoe, nor can I remember which game was involved but) a group of fans had arranged to fly in from Finland/Norway to watch a game only for sky to move it. That's shocking to me but I suspect it just scratches the surface, Also Ghengers nothing is stopping Sky showing these games at the normal KO time.
If the FA and FL arrange pre season different days and times for kickoffs before the season starts then this could be avoided.

Yeah it was on Twitter, group of about 30 odd coming from Norway, They even arranged flights back to monday in case it was put back to Sunday for TV and then Sky go and shaft them like this. An absolute disgrace this is !!

Expect 23k max, could be much less !
That's ok I expect Sky will reward us handsomely to suffer the crowd loss plus we get the pleasure of their biased commentary and then getting criticized during half time even if we're 3-0 up

There should be a cut off point where games cannot be moved.
also, Sky do get cash if you watch it in the pub.
Potential 30k crowd down the swanny, lucky to attract 23k now
Leeds United Supporters Clubs from all over the UK taking a big hit once again plus fans who have booked flights/hotels from Europe/Ireland......an absolute disgrace !
The Football League has voiced its “regret” at the late rearrangement of next month’s clash between Leeds United and Middlesbrough and blamed a legal challenge by the Elland Road club for the delay in confirming the change.
Sky caused anger amongst fans of both Leeds and Middlesbrough by announcing yesterday that the forthcoming Championship fixture would be moved for a live broadcast - less than four weeks before the original date of Saturday, February 13.
Boro will visit Elland Road on Monday, February 15, the 13th time Leeds have been chosen for television coverage this season and a switch which will cause widespread inconvenience to supporters of the two clubs.
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has been fighting the Football League over fixture disruption all season, claiming Sky’s selection of United’s games is excessive.
The Italian’s frustration boiled over last month when he threatened to ban Sky from showing United’s 2-2 draw with Derby County at Elland Road on December 29.
Sky’s employees were initially shut out of the ground but Cellino belatedly allowed them entry after the Football League threatened to bring a misconduct charges against Leeds.
In a statement released at the time, United said they had taken legal action in an attempt to prevent certain fixture changes.
The Football League insisted Sky had attempted to select the clash with Boro in December but had been prevented from doing so until this week because of United’s legal challenges.
A Football League spokesman said today: “It is a matter of regret to the Football League that supporters of Leeds United and Middlesbrough have only been informed of the new date for this match at such a late stage.
“Like other matches being broadcast during February, this game was originally selected for transmission by Sky Sports in early December with home clubs asked to make the necessary arrangements at the time.
“However, as was referenced by Leeds United in its statement of December 29, the club has challenged the League ‘through the appropriate legal routes’ which has prevented confirmation of the date of this fixture until now.
“Due to ongoing legal restrictions the League cannot comment further at this time.”

Time for banners around ER which LUFC should install in view of the cameras, lower seats of East Stand & behind both goals would be ideal. Our club could also provide flags too in order for fans & LUFC to show their disgust
