This part of the statement is Utter BS, Cellinos challenge came late on in decemember during the Derby Debacle, yet they're saying it was selected in early december for transmission, so why wasnt it announced way back then before the Derby issue.Gurj wrote:Football League Statement
The Football League insisted Sky had attempted to select the clash with Boro in December but had been prevented from doing so until this week because of United’s legal challenges.
“Like other matches being broadcast during February, this game was originally selected for transmission by Sky Sports in early December with home clubs asked to make the necessary arrangements at the time.
“However, as was referenced by Leeds United in its statement of December 29, the club has challenged the League ‘through the appropriate legal routes’ which has prevented confirmation of the date of this fixture until now.
“Due to ongoing legal restrictions the League cannot comment further at this time.”

How many have thought if and I know its a big if United reached the premiership what the fixtures would be like then there can be sometimes 3 games on sunday 2 on a Saturday plus the Monday night football and you would not only have sky moving games bt sport would also have a say.Only last week bt sport had 2 games on in the mid-week.I know I have said it before tv is here to stay you either have to go with it or lose a lot of money from them you only have to look at the money clubs in the premierhip rake in from it.Thats why clubs in the championship are busting a gut to reach it.The problem is Leeds have a world wide fan base and with their games been beamed across the world tv companies get a huge income from it with advertising etc the answer is bust a gut leeds reach the premiership and gain the rewards from it.But don't start to complain when we are sent off on altered kick off times then because we would be shown as much then.

I think most fans have resigned themselves to the fact Sky and to a lesser extent but this will increase, BT are running football and we have to accept there will be silly times for games, ie the Thursday night before Christmas . The main issue is the lack of notice given in these circumstances, the fact Sky couldn't give two big one's for the attending fans is the crux of it.eastyorkshirewhite wrote:How many have thought if and I know its a big if United reached the premiership what the fixtures would be like then there can be sometimes 3 games on sunday 2 on a Saturday plus the Monday night football and you would not only have sky moving games bt sport would also have a say.Only last week bt sport had 2 games on in the mid-week.I know I have said it before tv is here to stay you either have to go with it or lose a lot of money from them you only have to look at the money clubs in the premierhip rake in from it.Thats why clubs in the championship are busting a gut to reach it.The problem is Leeds have a world wide fan base and with their games been beamed across the world tv companies get a huge income from it with advertising etc the answer is bust a gut leeds reach the premiership and gain the rewards from it.But don't start to complain when we are sent off on altered kick off times then because we would be shown as much then.

What is the point of boycotting the match as that is only gonna hurt LUFC's revenue. Those who don't turn up will watch it on the telly which benefits Skywoodfordwhites wrote:http://m.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/142 ... m=facebook
Massive SKY OUT banners & flags sprawled across the East Stand & behind empty seats & behind the goals is the way to go & would make a more significant point

The only way to protest against Sky is to simply not watch the live coverage thereby affecting their viewing figures.
