Re: Snodgrass the cheat
Football League issued a statement they are intending to fine Leeds and issue a warning about the behaviour of our ex-players and if this happens again they will deduct points to ensure we don't get in the play offs

Didn’t we just have someone dive in the box against us?

Until retrospective punishment is brought in it will continue to get worse. Simulation is the scourge of the modern game.
Anyone deemed to have dived gets a 3 match ban, no appeal and its instant. Next time 4, then 5.
It won't take long until the clubs stop it happening

That punishment would soon cure this horrible disease in footballflatpack wrote:Until retrospective punishment is brought in it will continue to get worse. Simulation is the scourge of the modern game.

Snoddy apology via a tweet is a joke, he didn't say to the referee at the time that there was no contact. Many footballers lack integrity/honesty preferring to cheat in their desire to win games

Totally agree, happens too often, refs do seem to be falling for it less yet aren't dishing out the cards.flatpack wrote:Until retrospective punishment is brought in it will continue to get worse. Simulation is the scourge of the modern game.

I see Snodgrass has kind of apologised but that won't alter the result.

As long as players can get away with it they will continue to do it its sad to say it is creeping into the game more than ever.

Re: Snodgrass the cheat
They have retrospective punishment for diving in Aussie Rules, it's a flat fine of $12k. Might not seem a lot but it's probably what one of the better players earns a week.
Simulation has been a talking point lately in the A League too and it wouldn't surprise me if they bring something in pretty quick to try to combat it.
