Burton and Preston are two examples of clubs who don't break the bank and buy over hyped or egotistical ex premier league journeymen they've simply built good squads from honest hard working players together with good managers who get the best out of what they have. Burton will be no easy game next week as they don't concede many and we don't score many... Could it be a 0-0??

Norwich hammered today, beaten at home to Preston last week, hopefully their bad run continues next week.

I'm confident we can get something at Carrow Road

I may be wrong, but I don't think Norwich have kept a clean sheet all season and have conceded 24 goals in the process. They still have a very good home record but are the suffering a bad run just now, dumped out of the cup and 2 league defeats on the bounce which come next weekend will hopefully be 3

Not overly impressed with either Brighton or Villa, commentators trying to over sell it but all huff and puff.

That's the championship for you Ges, not a lot between top & bottom, those teams in the lower half of the table make more mistakes, a major problem Monk seems to have eradicated to a bear minimum over the last couple of months

Opened up the last half hour and Villa possibly should have won, less worried about going to Brighton than I was.

Brighton is always a difficult fixture, difference is we have now have a squad of players playing the right way & to their maximum ability. Full credit to Monk & his coaching staff

Norwich have lost 5 league games on the trot, 6 games with our cup tie.
Both Wigan (as mentioned by '64) and Blackburn rear up and beat teams from the top away.
Barnsley thrashed at home and have gone from (I think) 3rd at the start of the season to 18th.
I know pride can go before a fall, so I'm humbly saying it's so nice for once to be the top Yorkshire team in the Championship. It's been a long time coming and long may it continue.
Thank you very much Garry Monk, and Massimo Cellino for employing him.

They're certainly on a roll since McClaren went back. Unfortunately

Terriers win 3 on the trot, tonight Norwich away - up to 3rd with 1 game more than us.
I had thought Leeds B were over their malaise but obviously not quite.

Championship fever at its best - our turn tomorrow.
C'mon Leeds, out-sting the Bees.

Watched this one Norm or most of it and was impressed with 'Udder'rs they are a good side going forward attacking . Not overly so on the defence and looked ordinary enough when stretched though to be honest wasn't often and regroup very well. Even without the ball they seem very well drilled and have quality about them.
Will be hanging around top 10 for sure.

Uddersfelt have always been our main rivals and are having a good season. We're going to have to really beat them away to get some traction on the play-offs.
Monk is proving to be a shrewd tactician so I'm hopeful of a result, but the Huddersfield guy is no slouch - as faaip is fond of saying (not in these words) this division is one of the most competitive leagues around. Getting out of it upwards has to be one of the most difficult things to do.

Goal difference Leon, slightly different - goal average is what we used to have years ago, divide the goals for by the goals against -- now it's just a subtraction but it rewards those who score more.
