Drifted in out of the game as was working but he seems a beast in the centre, wins tackles left right and centre and never wastes the ball.
He talks, he's calm, he can pass and he works hard, oh yeah and he's Irish

In terms of points it's the best possible start we could have had
Hopefully the players will feel a bit more settled now
Absolutely imperative to bring in at least two defensive reinforcements before next weekend's game
Full back and a Centre half at least. But happy with our attacking performance
We look a heck of a lot more threatening thus far going forward

O'Kane was MOTM today,
25 out of 40 passengers on our coach can't be wrong

No sorry just didn't impress me at all, so much space and so much time he had today. He underhit passes and the ones he got right were right there on a plate for him. I don't rate him at all I'm afraid

Well clearly either 25 or 15 were wrong - either way an alarming amount of numpties

Just not your type of player Faaip! Don't think our two midfielders compliment each other well, which may have something to do with it, not knowing Klich, but if he is a hard type of player, I think he and Eunan could be a lively pair to take us into the season and push on, maybe then he'll grow on you!! Or he may fade away into a squad player, who knows yet, I'm sure we'd all like the first secaniro!
Thanks for the likes by the way

Well that was a 1000% better than the first game last season.
Liked the way we were always looking to pass the ball out, no panic in hoofing it, a few times it could have got us into trouble but no more than hoofing it up to one of theirs and putting ourselves back under pressure. Second half we looked less assured but overall it was a solid away performance. I think Bolton are better than some are giving them credit for, not many teams will enjoy going there and facing the physical side of their game, I'm pretty sure they'll be bottom half but won't lose too many points at home. Pluses were definitely Cooper and O'Kane , really pleased for Phillips hopefully it will stop some of the boo boys, Alioski was a little bit and miss but showed enough to make me think we have a potentially very good player on our hands. I also thought Pennington did very well, looked cool under pressure.
Only 2 negatives player wise were, Weidwald didn't impress at all and was at fault for the first goal. Sacko absolute waste of space what do managers see in him.
All in all a very good weekend result wise.

We basically passed it through their defence on numerous occasions without any real opposition. Hernandez' ball to Wood for the second was so obvious and easy to pull off I was embarrassed for Bolton. Bolton had one good player on the park and that was the big centre forward. Don't forget they're have the embargo so it's a team full of Free transfers and loans...remind me how that's worked for us in the past

Even those who didn't vote for O'Kane on our coach thought he was excellent today, also seems the same with the majority on here so you are the only one who reckons he was poor

With all due respect to you & your opinion you are totally wrong mate !

I can agree that Sacko was very poor but no professional footballer is that bad so I'd imaging there is a massive lack of confidence.

sorry mate, don't think so but feel free to hitch your wagon to his. I'll remind you of it in the future as I'll remind you know you thought Bridcutt was the answer and had to be signed to a permanent deal...Also don't forget the numerous occasions you haven't agreed with your coach in terms of who played well. O'Kane was allowed to play today. There was often no Bolton player near him. Don't get me wrong he did nothing wrong today but I don't think he's in the first team throughout the season. If Klich or Saiz hasn't replaced him in short order there's something wrong. Hernandez much more influential today...

We were a bottom half team that were hard to beat at home. They played some half decent football in the second half at times, still think the likes of Burton, Barnsley and Millwall will finish below them. But only time will tell on that

Good players make space with movement ? And against and rough Bolton side who pressed a lot, I think that's what stood out!

Yes I reckon I got it wrong about Bridcutt  O'Kane has more energy than Liam, one minute he's doing his defensive duties next he is in attacking areas creating moves. The reason he had so much space & time is because of his terrier-like runs. If Saiz & Klich replace Eunan at some stage of the season then we 'll have one hell of a midfield.
Thought our running off the ball was superb, the likes of Hernandez, Roofe, Phillips & O'Kane shone today, our play going forward was a joy to watch :-D

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well we played going forward. Defensively, we were put under pressure, but the injuries must have affected the overall solidity.

Wiedwald - 6 - Distribution OK, but could have done better with their first goal. More time needed.
Ayling - 8.5 - A really good footballer. Effective in defence and attack, with no little skill.
Berardi - 6 - Looked a little uncomfortable before the injury.
Pennington - 8 - Classy footballer. Several vital blocks and good distribution. Hope his injury is not serious.
Cooper - 8.5 - Leader at the back. Dovetailed well with Pennington.
O'Kane - 8.5 - He and Phillips bossed the midfield - something I haven't seen for a long time. Got up down well, and provided a spark.
Phillips - 8.5 - See O'Kane. Took his goals well, but also got tackles in.
Roofe - 6.5 - High energy and great cross for Wood's goal. Still spends a lot of time on his backside, though.
Hernandez - 7.5 - One of his better games, unlucky with the shot that hit the bar.
Alioski - 7 - Some good, some bad, but given time, I think he will be a very good player for us. Can't fault his application.
Wood - 8 - Led the line well, and took his goal calmly.

Anita - 7.5 - Accomplished performance. Very neat.
Shaughnessy - 4 - Horror penalty, but otherwise looked polished and passed it well.
Sacko - 0 - Why.? Just why ?

TC - He has got something going on here. Unable to use substitutes to best advantage due to injuries. Although, if he puts Sacko on again I might lose faith.
Delapsus Resurgam - When I fall I shall rise!

Can't argue with any of that.
