I don't care what he's done at Cardiff or anywhere else for that matter. I care about Leeds and I cannot stand the manMuppet the Cat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 9:43 pm BB - Warnock has done more than OK at Cardiff.
He was never given the backing in my opinion.

I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

Re: Heckingbottom has gone
I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks that, from Monk's resignation onwards, we have seemed somehow off-balance and clumsy.
Decisions have been made which don't makes sense and it's not just the decisions but the timing of them too. This latest one sees another embarrassing and awkward piece of timing and the board really doesn't seem to know what it wants. Bielsa is yet someone else about whom I knew nothing but he seems to be revered by some as a tactical genius with his 3-3-3-1 preference and high press. On the other hand we have 5 fingers - end of!
Let us hope that, if he is chosen, his strong points win out and our board have finally got something right.
I have to admit, it would be nice so see TC's early promise with most of our squad fulfilled by someone who knows what he's doing - all we need is a bloody good interpreter it seems - someone who can translate 'hair drier' for example.

Re: Heckingbottom has gone
As I've always maintained Norm, we weren't a million miles away at the end of the 2016/17 season under Monk, really thought we'd kick on from there with a couple of quality signings, All the unnecessary changes were far too much at the time, we lost our momentum & everything went pear-shape in true Leeds style, right now I feel we are a million miles away again, at least there is light at the end of the tunnel I suppose !

Unfortunately Leeds are turning into a laughing stock how on earth is anyone supposed to build something at Leeds when they aren't given a chance .
Next manager comes in could be gone by October if he doesn't start well.
Whoever gets it just give him a bloody chance

If we'd kept Heck, we'd be a laughing stock when relegated to League 1. Who cares what non Leeds people think anyway? Media have no clue about our club.Bally wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 11:11 am Unfortunately Leeds are turning into a laughing stock how on earth is anyone supposed to build something at Leeds when they aren't given a chance .

Re: Heckingbottom has gone
Consider Heckingbottom the worst manager we have had in my lifetime, Hockaday etc were bad but Hecky had more games and was every bit as bad, so pleased he has gone.
But, Juan Carlos Osorio, Mexico manager said he saw Bielsa 3 weeks ago and Bielsa was already talking about us.
So we must have been talking to him for getting on for a month.
3 weeks is about when Orta had those meetings with Hecky.
Why didnt he just sack him then?
Why didn't Hecky resign?
Were LUFC not honest with Hecky? If not then thats wrong.
If we were then where is Heckingbottoms pride? The club you manage are openly looking to replace you and you go off on your holidays.

If we get Bielsa we could still be manager-less by October because he might walk himself.

managers don't resign cjay , they would lose a pay off if they did , under Massimo I think we had 3 managers on the pay roll at one pointCjay wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 3:22 pm Consider Heckingbottom the worst manager we have had in my lifetime, Hockaday etc were bad but Hecky had more games and was every bit as bad, so pleased he has gone.

My immediate thoughts when hearing he was sacked - good , about time , well overdue .
Having dwelt on it for a few hours now ......good , about time , well overdue .
Sorry to say but he has been one of the clubs worst ever managers , maybe the worst ever .

Re: Heckingbottom has gone
It was an odd decision at the time, it still is now. I mean what had he achieved before arriving here?
Bielsa sounds a good choice on paper though I'd question what his experience and record is with players and budgets like ours. My preference would be someone like Mick McCarthy who has multiple promotions from this level, has managed players of our quality and budgets like ours, and has a passion for Leeds United.
BB agree with you about Warnock. Wasn't the right fit and it certainly wasn't the right time.

Personally, I think it's about 8 years too late for Mick, like the bloke but the game as passed him by, plus couldn't see him working with Orta.

Re: Heckingbottom has gone
I can see what you mean gessa though thanks to the state of affairs at Ipswich we'll never know if he could've gotten them promoted with a budget that would've stretched to more than just league 2 starlets...
Orta will be the biggest obstacle in terms of appointing a good manager as I imagine his track record here will put off a good many quality managers who would've seen this as the opportunity that it is.
Thanks for the welcome guys
pleasure to be here!
