Terrific goal by Roberts we want many more to follow. Could he be as skilfull as or Eddie? Lovely placed goal.

Disappointed to read poor performances from Klich, Huffer, Pearce, Diaz, Rey, Dalby.
Baker apparently wasnt much good, apart from the goal you'd expect much more from him.
Cant comment on the 1st half.
Shackleton seemed to do well down the right.
Roberts goal was top draw.
Nice finish from Edmondson but was offside.
Clarke scored 1 assisted 1.
Liked the look of Jack Clarke, didnt always work but he was always willing to run at the defence, its refreshing.

I wonder if Bielsa identified this match as being tougher than the next friendly and as such wanted to see how players that he is unsure about, i.e. Klich, would do. Would probably learn very little about a player by how well they did against Guiseley so we might see more of a first team line up v them (with it being more about fitness) and then the final match of preseason will see the first team likely to play v Stoke with a defence of possibly PJ, Cooper and 1 from all of the midfielders to have been tried out at CB.

No idea what happened my post has somehow gone on 8 times - can someone delete all bar 1 as I no longer have the capability to do so myself.

It looked great - did he show any other touches or was it a flash in the pan in this game?1964white wrote:
What a goal
He certainly looked like he knew what he was doing.
Hope for a decent striker yet.

I mean, not to be pushing the boat out, but on his overall performance could he be significant as a front man, a forward who can actually score goals?
I guess we'll have to wait and see but there seemed to be some smartness there between Clark and Roberts, and Roberts took care of himself in all aspects from receiving the ball to putting it in the back of the net. I like that in a striker.

Really? Conning the fans? TBH I do not think that are his or the clubs intentions at all! Its more about prepping the full squad ready for the long season ahead and getting a better idea who he wants in the squad long term. I for one I'm hoping MB is here for the long term so a pre-season friendly away at Oxford in the great scheme of things is irrelevant imo.

Tbh you play the team in friendlies you want to see as a manager, not what a travelling fan wants to see. They know its a preseason friendly travelling that gar. Saw seven goals anyway!
