Re: Oxford United v Leeds United Official Matchday Whinge

Managed to watch a stream off Bet 365 betting site - thankfully I only found it at the start of the second half after listening to the commentary from BBC Radio Oxford for what sounded like an abysmal performance in the first 45 mins. From what I heard only RV looked like he was trying in first half - we can probably see why the Japanese lad was hardly getting a game in spain for our feeder club, he looks out of he's depth and another of Orta's long list of flops.

Second half was much better thanks to the introduction of Roberts. He added so much class and the goal was sublime. I thought young Clarke and Shackleton looked useful, they may have futures but as for the rest, I very much doubt you will see many of them playing for the first team this or any other season.

Radz was apparently there last night ; got to hope he realises that we are woefully short at the moment, particularly striker, winger and central defense wise. If he doesn't do something soon, I dread to think what the score will be like v Stoke and Derby :-(

Radz is too busy securing deals buying TV rights for his other company Eleven Sports rather than concentrating on matters in hand at Leeds United

If our fans our happy with that then god help us because by golly right now we need a God

Where did Ideguchi play? I saw none of the game so unable to comment as to formation.

Looks like we're going into the season and a tough start under prepared, I get the experimentation but it needed to be the first team squad for the first at least 60 minutes and ditto at Elland road. Unless that is 75% of the Stoke line up then apologies to MB.

Guisley should offer zero competition so I'm assuming that will be most kids and back ups.

He certainly looked like he knew what he was doing.
Hope for a decent striker yet.
Showed some decent touches in the previous game as well.

Just a question of whether he's up to starting come Stoke really - definitely looks first choice right now.

I believe it was in he's preferred spot in central midfield from what I could decipher from the commentary. The BBC Radio Oxford commentators were none too complimentary at how often he gave the ball away.

Watched the first half on a stream on some guy's phone in the away end. The performance was as bad as the stream. When I found the "LUTV" stream for the second half everything improved. Turned out to be an entertaining second half, and well done to the young lads for making a game of it. Blackman, Baker, Edmondson, Clarke and Shackleton all showed glimpses. Klich was good on the ball, not so good off it. Vieira the exact opposite. Some of these young lads will be good for cameos this season, but they won't be taking over en masse.

LUTV was in inverted commas, because the stream was not available on LUTV, despite it being the LUTV presenter and Eddie Gray on co-commentary. So not sure what that was all about. However, it was a much better stream than any of the previous streams, so maybe we were trying out a new supplier.
