Still don't think it's all over, felt glum after QPR and we turned it around. Just hope we nick it, especially with all the gloating afterwards.

Blades are jammy bastards who deserved nothing today.
Hopefully Norwich and SU's luck runs out and we start getting it all.
What I saw today we are a miles better football team than SU, we didn't convert possession into gaols and got mugged off.
Still 8 games to go and lots of twists and turns.
If it goes to the last macth then we have the easiest one, away to Rotherham.
Come on Leeds, Keep On Fighting

Just seen the remaining fixtures and there are some tough games for Blunts and Norwich, don't think they will win the final 8, especially as they are due to lose a bit of luck at some point. Then again Hudds got promoted on luck so who knows.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 2:56 pm Blades are jammy bastards who deserved nothing today.

Exactly, there's a lot of ground left to run in this race and we are due the luck that jammy SU and Norwich have had all season.
I was down in the dumps after QPR and we came back very strongly from that.
We didn't deserve to lose today, Bielsa and the lads will put it right

What is MBs obsession with bringing on Dallas and Douglas? Douglas in particular has been so crap for so long.

We can also say that SU had a great chance before half time but fluffed it. It's about scoring goals not if's and maybe's. The fact is SU have a better defence and score more goals and sit above Leeds in the league. Leeds might play some very attractive football and have most possession but unless they convert chances and stop making mistakes at the back it'll be playoffs.SG90 wrote: I don't agree with that at all. Down to ten men after 18 mins and it's a completely different game. They got all the luck and we got nothing.

Totally agree SG. He was day dreaming watching SU attack . Basham was legging it towards the Leeds area and Douglas was streets behind. Very poor defending from a poor player. Did he take the corner at the end...pfff.SG90 wrote:Bad defending by Douglas again for the goal. He shouldn't have been on though anyway.

Wouldn't want many of you lot as back up, chasing the game and then critical of positioning jesus christ chaps it isn't life and death. By far more entertaining to watch today than the opposition just unlucky. Reverse of the away fixture.

Re: Leeds Utd v Sheffield Utd Match Thread
Just one of those days. Blunts came with a plan and it worked. They defend as a team. We rarely do. No point blaming the subs either when they came on we had a couple of golden chances. They didn't go in.
They are on a great run at the moment, as are Norwich. We had ours coming up to the new year. Theirs will end at some point, whether we are breathing down their necks when it happens is entirely up to us.
I would love to see a tweak to the team formation when we are at home maybe if Jansen is out for a bit it may happen. Somehow play with two out and out strikers. We really shouldnt be playing a lone striker in home games.
I think Roberts is being shackled a wee bit having to play the role asked of him, he is doing ok but he looks to me more like an instinctive goal scorer. Maybe if he could be allowed to form a strike partnership with Bamford and Roofe once he is available. Target men, in the box. One touch football.
I t is going to be a very tough run in as we play three of the top four candidates.
The playoffs.
Be sure of this. I am sure that WBA, Derby, Bristol, Boro, Villa, Owls, or whoever is there will be bricking it at the prospect of playing us.
We are still the team to beat.

Yeah, I don't get that. If you're looking to win, or chase a game, I don't expect these two are gonna provide the spark.
I dunno what's happened with Douglas??
All those assists and goals for Wolves and in comparison he's done nowt for us

No deviation from the way he plays just different players simple. Would like Brown to get a run out as he was real quality at Brighton and Huddersfield.

Scored one more goal and they've had far more penalties than we have.BGwhite wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 3:02 pm We can also say that SU had a great chance before half time but fluffed it. Just have to hope and pray Jansson isn't serious, but we all know that he will be out for the rest of the season due to our luck. Just hope it wasn't his last game for us.
I don't want to see anyone blaming Bielsa for his injury. It was just luckless as it gets.

Re: Leeds Utd v Sheffield Utd Match Thread
Perhaps a bit harsh but i think Liam Cooper let us down today.
As captain we needed a cool head and commanding defending, he didn't show that for the goal or in the build up to the sending off.
Much improved but today he let us down.
So so disappointed.
Felt we were building this game up to much just like Norwich (who scraped by Rotherham).
If we dont get top 2 only ourselves to blame.
