If we don't get top 2, we won't go up as playoffs are all down to luck and we won't get any.

I don't want to see anyone blaming Bielsa for his injury. It was just luckless as it gets.
Dont blame him for the injury but i do the substitutions.

They were so predictable.

As captain we needed a cool head and commanding defending, he didn't show that for the goal or in the build up to the sending off.

Much improved but today he let us down.

So so disappointed.

Felt we were building this game up to much just like Norwich (who scraped by Rotherham).

If we dont get top 2 only ourselves to blame.
First half set the tone as he, Phillips and Ayling kept giving all straight to them and that was the only way they could attack our goal.

Just don't want to think of another season in this shitty league. Sky moving all our games, Keith Andrews talking bollocks, losing our best players, 10 men behind the ball every game. Not going up after the way we've played would be both disastrous and unfair. :verysad:

Their defence will get them up. Ours is shaky and I just wish they'd stop jumping in trying to win the ball first when it's obvious the attacker has it. So many free kicks are given away in dangerous areas. Cooper trying to get in first resulted in the mistake which ultimately led to the goal however it should have been stopped by Douglas if he had been paying attention and not been half way up the pitch.. an average defender if ever I've seen one. Wolves knew what they were doing when getting rid of him.

We've been much stronger defensively though, 3 clean sheets in a row and they only way they'd score was through a mistake, which is what happened. Otherwise we were never in danger when they attacked us.

Yeah could see the nerves.

We were unlucky in some respects but eventually just have to admit some teams are more consistent.

Bitterly disappointed about this defeat and the potential implications for the rest of the season.

BPF back in goal, Jansson maybe injured.

They are on a great run at the moment, as are Norwich. We had ours coming up to the new year. Theirs will end at some point, whether we are breathing down their necks when it happens is entirely up to us.

I would love to see a tweak to the team formation when we are at home maybe if Jansen is out for a bit it may happen. Somehow play with two out and out strikers. We really shouldnt be playing a lone striker in home games.
I think Roberts is being shackled a wee bit having to play the role asked of him, he is doing ok but he looks to me more like an instinctive goal scorer. Maybe if he could be allowed to form a strike partnership with Bamford and Roofe once he is available. Target men, in the box. One touch football.

I t is going to be a very tough run in as we play three of the top four candidates.

The playoffs.

Be sure of this. I am sure that WBA, Derby, Bristol, Boro, Villa, Owls, or whoever is there will be bricking it at the prospect of playing us.

We are still the team to beat.
Completely disagree. The playoffs are designed so the team with momentum go up. Remember when Brighton finished 3rd on goal difference and Wendies beat them as they were demoralised, while the Wendies were coming in with form. That's what would happen with us.

Jansson is the biggie. If serious, he's out for the season. BPF is fine for one game. Millwall won't attack much anyway.

Think Villa will win the playoffs with the momentum they will have. They haven't been anywhere near 3rd best team, but the playoffs aren't about that.

Just wish we were playing on Tuesday rather than two weeks. At least we'll only be missing Dallas, Klich, BPF and Ali for international call ups so Bielsa can work with them.

Sums it all up really. They didn't make the mistake we did. They scored we didn't. That's what will take them up. We do look jittery when pressure is applied which will lead to mistakes and we didn't score today when we're on top and had chances.Never even made the keeper work. No we didn't have much good luck but we really shouldn't be relying on that given how much we generally dominate games. It's been said all season and it's repetitive which means it's the same old story. Leeds now need to regain a momentum and start a long run unbeaten and preferably winning so at the very least it takes us into the playoffs as the form team . I know we are better than most teams in this league but that means nothing in 3 cup finals.

I didn't say we should be relying on luck, I said we've had none when blunts and Norwich have had it in spades. I've said before making playoffs means nowt, as we will have no luck in them and probably suffer injuries to key players beforehand.

All we can do is win every game now. Using Brown and Clarke is imperative too.

Agree, the injuries and the indisputable refereeing calls constantly going against us (2 keepers this season have bought down a Leeds player in on goal and yellows. We get the red. Then with our pace and creativity we should have a lot more than one penalty behind us. We get at least one penalty shout per game, not a fans bias just very good more than probable shout for a pen. We're way behind the law of averages on that one)

We have had almost zero luck so far. Maybe one game all season with the ref giving us the benefit

I would say we miss Roofe but I don't think Roofe even if fit would be seeing much if any game time. Even the fans prefer Bamford.

Refs have bottled sending players us off against us v Brentford, Nottingham Forest (away), Blunts (2 away, 1 at home), that's 5 red cards off the top of my head. We've had one red card against us in two seasons, Bristol City at home which Johnson cried about even though it was blatant. Promotions are won and lost on these things.

I don't get why we didn't get a PL ref today. Best ref we've had all season was Mike Dean.

Just have to dust ourselves down and bounce back in the next few matches. Always going to be twists and turns and I can still remember us being 2 points behind Man Utd and they had 2 games in hand and there were only 3 or 4 matches to go yet they bottled it and we won our games - luck finally went our way at the end of that season with Sheff Utd scoring an own goal to hand us a win and Ian Rush finally scoring for Liverpool v Man Utd. If Norwich and Sheff Utd win all their games well they deserve to go up.

Nothing in today's performance that was bad apart from the usual failure to convert chances. Harrison's volley, Roberts hitting the post, Jannson's miss were all great chances so all the praise for Sheff Utd's defence doesn't really sit well with me. On another day they concede 3 or more. 17 shots we had 0 on target that is the crux of today's performance. Sheff Utd had less chances, only had 1 on target but scored. They didn't even create the goal we gifted it to them.

Norwich usual business, opposition having more shots but they score with 50% of their shots on target. If they keep getting that outcome well nothing we can do but the hope would be that some team will take their chances and beat them - having watched their last 3 performances they haven't looked anywhere near as good as us but hey they keep sticking it in the back of the net.

We have 2 weeks now to recharge the batteries, 2 weeks to fully focus. I didn't like all the stuff by PJ saying this was the biggest game of their lives etc. The next match is more important than this match was, and then the match after that in turn will be more important. Nothing was going to be settled today regardless of the result.

BPF is not fine for Millwall, aerial bombardment is his biggest flaw and without Jansson if he is unavailable we will have no height at all, Gregory and Morison have a few inches on Cooper.

Title has gone imo which is disappointing.

My summary is simply that overall we played well and could have been 2 up at half time, but having missed our chances this is football so what happened was pretty inevitable ! The worst thing imo is the injury to Pontus and Cassillas sending off. I have felt for a while that both Sheff Utd and Norwich just have the edge on us when it comes to getting the result. Its not over yet and as others have said there will be more twists and turns to come but whatever happens I believe we will get promoted.
