Lets hope No.12 will be the champions
Re: Championship 19/20
3 Championship teams managerless.
Swansea - 3 leading contenders are
Micky Mellon- Won 5 promotions in his career most recently with Tranmere last season from League 2 to League 1.
Gus Poyet- Won promotion with Brighton to the Championship.
Thierry Henry- Who has done naff all but has Va Va Voom.
Boro
Jonny Woodgate- Boro lad but no managerial experience, would be a gamble.
Slavisa Jokanovic- Double promotion winner with Watford and FUlham ( i hope it isnt him).
Mikel Arteta- Very well thought of it seems but same as Woodgate, a gamble.
WBA
Danny Cowley-Many promotions to his name, very good for Lincoln, were a National League side when he arrived, start next season in League 1. (Bielsa fan to).
Gary Monk- Did good jobs tbf to him at Swansea, Leeds and Birmingham, flopped at Boro however.
Michael Appleton- Got promoted with Oxford but thats about it

Re: Championship 19/20
We're 12th ..well that's s**t. Who's responsible for us not starting with an A. Bet it's Rads and not buying a name higher in the alphabet ...add that to the list

Slavisa Jokanovic would be a scoop for Boro'
Wilder linked with the baggies job, can't see him leaving the blunts though

First game in or around London with the kick-off time of 12.30pm just to peeve off all our travelling fans.wilsdenwhite wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 3:22 pm Less than 3 weeks until the fixtures come out. June 20th.
Wouldn't bother Swannie or BB who can't get up on a morning
Re: Championship 19/20
West Ham have signed David Martin from Millwall on a two-year deal.
The 33-year-old is the second keeper in a week to join the Hammers, following Roberto's signing on a free transfer from Espanyol.

Re: Championship 19/20
Looking at that list, absolutely nothing to be fearful of.
With 2 or 3 quality signings and the emergence of some of the U23's we should be able to put the final four weeks of last season to bed and be top two no problem.

Aston Villa have signed forward Jota from local rivals Birmingham for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.
Villa midfielder Gary Gardner, 26, has gone in the opposite direction, joining the Championship side for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.

Re: Championship 19/20
Dan James having medical at Man U this morning. And they're paying five times what we were going to....says it all really.
I think he'll be a star in the Premier.

Re: Championship 19/20
To be honest I was so hacked off and disappointed with our season end that I couldn't bring myself to even look at this thread. Even Bielsa staying hasn't galvanised me into next season. What's to say the same thing wont happen again
Re: Championship 19/20
Its going to be important that we hold off offers for the likes of Roofe this summer. If we can maintain the main body of the squad I suspect we'll find ourselves in a stronger position than some of our rivals.1964white wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 6:03 pm Aston Villa have signed forward Jota from local rivals Birmingham for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.

Indeed Tom
I'm expecting one of our top players to leave, maybe that's the pessimism in me

Re: Championship 19/20
Or spend any money we get for players wisely. If we for example sell PJ, KP and KR but spend well we can be stronger and have still got enough nucleus of togetherness.
Re: Championship 19/20
Aye I know how you feel Swannie, a real kick in the teeth even though I didn't fancy us in the play-offs due to witnessing several calamities/feeble displays since Christmas, my god when we lose to the likes of QPR, Wigan & Ipswich we didn't deserve to go up. The fact that we contrived to beat ourselves when 2-0 up on aggregate v Derby just typified what had gone on during the latter few months of the season.
Re: Championship 19/20
Nigel Adkins has left Hull (big blow that).
Simom Grayson
Aitor Karanka
Steve McClaren
3 favourites.
Boro favourites
Woodgate
Jokanovic
Phil Neville
WBA favourites
Slaven Billic (excellent appointment and clear favourite).
Chris Hughton
Danny Cowley
Swansea
Cameron Toshack (never heard of him, presumably a relation of John).
John Eustace
Mark Bowen and Lee Bowyer (same odds).
