Different Reuben I'm afraid, you're thinking of Camberley's own Reuben, who were active in the nineties I think...I've seen Lenman play with them years ago..

Racecar is Racecar Backwards is worth listening to and this vid is shot around my home patch including the excellent indy record shop the Rockbox

Today a varied selection of albums:
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions (which includes my favourite SW track 'All In Love Is Fair')
Scorpions - Animal Magnetism
Barry White - Greatest Hits Collection (as last night I watched a Story of Barry White Muso Doc that I'd recorded from Sky Arts or BBC 4) - his 2 best tracks have to be 'You're The First, The Last, My Everything' and 'Baby, We Better Try To Get It Together'
Rod Stewart - Sing It Again Rod

I went to see Hop Along the week before last and they were supported by a solo artist called Sidney Gish who I thought was excellent... Its been a long time since I felt compelled to go and listen to a support act's music after a gig!

Both her albums are great (and 'pay what you want') on bandcamp, but this video kind of sums up what she's about:

Hop Along have also been on heavy rotation.

Grace Jones 'Hurricane'
Grace Jones is without doubt one of the most recognisable voices in music history. Paving the way for contemporary dance music as we know it through a string of landmark albums and tracks including the classics. 'Hurricane' is no thrown together comeback album; 4 years in the making the album features a stellar cast. From the ever dependable rhythmic backbone of Sly & Robbie through Brian Eno on keyboard to contributions from Tricky, Tony Allen and Wally Badaroo. Recorded in 2008 after a 20 year absence Hurricane is up there with her early splendid works, a commendable return

Nitan Sawhney ‘Migration’
Eastern influences, a trippy, nu jazz, and sensual album. Acquired this one recently, I now have four Sawhney albums on my shelves. Prophesy still my favourite Sawhney album

Japan ‘Gentleman Take Polaroids'
Love David Sylvain’s voice, funny enough only got into Japan after enjoying Sylvain’s solo works. GTP is strange, but good. Recommending it to everyone would be a pretty crazy thing to do, because it might be a bit hard to swallow for some listeners. Nonetheless, the album's strange sound shrouds the real element behind it: the grace. In every song, you always find moments that you can savour.

Japan ‘Oil On Canvas’
Live recordings of Japan’s final tour. The soundscapes on this album are phenomenal and you can't help but get drawn into the luxurious and richly-textured ambiance. One of the best live albums of the 80’s

Don McLean 'The Very Best Of'
Love Don’s voice, written some great songs, he provided Perry Como with one of his biggest hits with McLean’s song 'And I Love You So'. Vincent is gorgeous then there is the classic 'American Pie'. My personal favourite is the splendid ‘Castles In The Air'

Richard Fontaine ‘Thirteen Cities'
Really enjoying this recent purchase. Although the appeal of this album is evident from the very first play, repeated listens reveal more of the depth and longevity of 'Thirteen Cities', as this is a piece of art which will reward the investment of your time and truly grows in stature with each play
