Phillips also putting us into trouble with a poor pass followed by a missed tackle..

Think we should sign up the Guisley defence...big tall strong lads. Bullying us off the ball nicely...

Not really impressed with much of what I've seen from our lads so far. Hopefully the second half will be much better

That is a very MB team that.

Full back and Cm at cb.

cm at full back.

Just hope he doesnt try that in the Championship because imo it wont work, square pegs in round holes is infuriating.

I dont think the pegs are in any holes to be fair, they are just all over the place.

Phillips has made one poor pass & jogged back for their goal, Alioski has lost it 4 or 5 times & then rolls around on the ground claiming he's been fouled. One decent recovery is all he has really offered so far

Get on with it Ali & stop behaving like a big girls blouse, you didn't see this in the Women's World Cup tournament

Half Time Thoughts:

Guiseley evidently not wanting to be taken for mugs, really committing themselves and to be fair, looking a better team than their level would suggest. Very tenacious and giving many of our lads a hard time. We're really seeing who's proving their worth and it ain't last season's first teamers...

Pros:

Costa looking worth the money so far, full of skill, cunning and trickery.

Pontus who? White looking imperious in defence and attack, very intelligent and instinctive.

Shackleton being his usual industrious and dangerous self.

Cons:

Very panicky BPF for the most part, grew into the game but at the expense of a goal with which he should've done better.

Phillips is either rusty or lazy, watched Felix make an unmarked run into the box for the goal and barely jogged after him. He might have other things on his mind but no one will pay 30mil for that!

Alioski still a very hardworking little prick but the rest of the team is growing beyond him. He looks no worse than usual but doesn't look better either.

Overall:

Let's face it, this is the practice we really need, not shooting practice at York but practice breaking down stubborn 11 man defences. Let's see who's going to be the one to do it.

White looks very assured when he carries the ball forward

Whether he'll get caught out in the championship I don't know

Alioski heads the ball into the net from a free kick but is judged to be offside.
