Kiko certainly redeemed himself.
Bamford played very well.
Another excellent game from Harrison.
All in all, a pretty good day.

It does seem likely that Eddie will return to Arsenal, though that story has had more twists than an Alfred Hitchcock plot.dezzy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 7:16 pm Away from home against the second best team in the league, you’d be happy with a point from that. Bamford showed his worth to this team in the second half and I hope that puts the bed the people calling him poor.
Shame Eddie couldn’t get into the game, I hope that’s not the last we’ve seen of him in a Leeds shirt, you would think we will hear either way later today or tomorrow

2 starts for Eddie and he's done nothing to impress. He's pretty one dimensional if there's no goals there's not much more to his game than that.
Good performance bar the opening 2 mins.

We are in exactly the same position as we were before the game: first on GD, nine points clear of third.
Except now there are only twenty games left in the season. Far too many to start counting down, but every game that goes by without worsening our position improves our position.

Take that.
Much better 2nd half.
Ends the Eddie vs Bamford debate.
Eddie is talented but a 1 dimensional goal poacher was easy for experienced giants like Bartley and Ajayi.
Find it weird how WBA who can play good football resorted to counters and long balls, bit negative for a home side.
Paddy, Costa, Klich, Harrison and Kiko had good games.
Decent from Douglas, not a favourite but a bit less gung ho then Ali and we needed that.
1v1 our defenders are poor tbh, not great defenders but as a team we are solid.
Glad they didnt play Zohore from the start.
Desperately crying out for more creativity though and every set piece is a heart in mouth moment (Kiko did well after the goal tbf).
Happy with a point, lots of time now to get in the 2 or 3 players we really need.

As I said a couple of weeks ago, I think only Brentford are capable of catching the top two. All the others are far too inconsistent.

Sky just stick a hand in the hat and pull out a name. Between Harrison and Klich for me
Casilla - 8 - Three cracking saves, got unlucky for the goal but good to see him back after a dodgy game or two
Ayling - 7 - Had a good game in both aspects
White - 7 - Usual cool calm self
Cooper - 8 - His best game for a while
Alioski - 4 - Right off the pace today, maybe carrying an injury or ill but certainly off colour
Phillips - 7 - Decent game but poor set piece delivery
Klich - 9 - Does all the donkey work, becoming more a work horse for us.
Costa - 8 - Dangerous all game and one lovely mazy run at pace
Dallas - 7 - Worked hard but we need a bit more creativity from that position..Maybe should have had a third in a row but blazed over
Nketiah - 4 - No idea why he started today, what was his motivation if he's gone tomorrow?
Harrison - 9 - Our most creative player with Pablo sidelined, broke ankles all day long and some lovely passing.
Bamford - 7 - Did alright, good work in defence
Douglas - 7 - Surprisingly effective given his lack of game time. Still think there's a good player there

And the heck with the FA Cup.
Let's give our top players a rest vs the Gunners

Motm for me would be Harrison, but a close call from Bamford, once he came on the whole game changed

WBA for all their strength and height lost just about every header in our half after the first couple of minutes and that was them playing netball really

I wonder who we'll get to replace Eddie then. I'm sure there'll be a rumour a day.

Fine with that.
In a different side he will be a key player.
But in a Bielsa side, never fit, never seemed right, always seemed like an Orta choice.
We should have got Kent.
Weird to start him anyway.

Probably another loan or Roberts will be back up striker. Not particularly pleasing for me but it is what it is

That interview with bielsa was pretty weird.
