Re: Promotion Poll.
I notice no win the division option above which for me is what we deserve. We're the best team in the division by a distance.

Re: Promotion Poll.
With the run in that we have got and hopefully avoiding injuries to key players we should stay 2nd, cant see us overhauling West Brom and don't really care.

Re: Promotion Poll.
They can take away the prem from you but they can never take away a championship. Runner up with SG's team or Blackwell's is a success, Runner up with this team and this manager will be like our late 60's early 70's near misses...
I think even the playoff winners get a trophy ...Second just guarantees us a year in the top division and money. I'm a purist.

Re: Promotion Poll.
With 11 left, out of the top 6 teams (I think the same 6 will finish 1-6 this season as it's looking unlikely that anyone will emerge from 7 down now) only Fulham and Preston have more away games than home still to play. After the weekend Fulham will have 4 home and 6 away left.
Matches against other top 6 sides is interesting as Fulham play all 5 other teams - tough. Brentford & Preston have 3 each, WBA & Forest 2 each and we have 1, the crucial Fulham home game. WBA & Fulham play each other (at Baggies) & Norest are home to Fulham.
the average current league position of opponents left is, Leeds 15.2, Brentford 13.4, Forest 13.2, WBA 12.5, Preston 11.6, Fulham 8.8. Would be interesting to look at it against a last 10 games form table then break that down further to home and away form....however it all suggest we SHOULD get auto's.
If Fulham do get over the line then the will probably deserve it as on paper they have a nasty run in although who's to say that playing a team scrapping against relegation will be any easier.
If we had Mitrovic we would be 10 points ahead of WBA right now!
I vote Auto's.

Re: Promotion Poll.
We had this poll a while back and I said we would be champions then (only a few of us did) so I'm not changing my mind now.

We're gonna storm it and run away with it in the last 10. Bamford will come good with a goal a game and we'll be high and dry by the time we play Derby. Yeeeeyyy !!!!

Re: Promotion Poll.
This eleven, collectively, are better than any other eleven in the Championship. A few individual players have given us fits this year, but there isn't a single team in the league that strikes fear in me, especially among those we have left on our schedule. After this weekend's game we finish with six of ten at home.Irish Ian wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 11:56 pm Ok Chaps and Chapesses.
We can all agree on the following.
Come hell or high water we can recount the lineup in our sleep.
Kiko
Ayling
Cooper
White
Dallas
Phillips
Harrison
Klich
Pablo
Costa
Yer man.
This is Bielsas' recipe for promotion.
So will it work?
Are we off to Paradise City?

That doesn't mean we'll finish the last eleven games unblemished, but I certainly don't fancy anyone's chances better than ours.

Re: Promotion Poll.
One would hope not..routed by an inferior Brom would leave a nasty taste. Also only 2 points clear?

Re: Promotion Poll.
That would mean Brom 9-1-1, us 5-3-3, Fulham 3-6-2, Brentford 7-2-2 and Forest 6-4-1.
I don't think Brom are that good, I think us and Fulham are better than that, Forest are about that (maybe) but Brentford (with PJ) could do that.

Cannot for the life of me see the basis for that outcome. These predictors are really only as good as the algorithms they use, and the data inputted. As such they are the prone to the vagaries of human error, albeit without emotion.

Re: Promotion Poll.
That would mean we lose another three and draw another three...
Not sure my heart could take that.

Auto, but in 2nd - although I don't understand how the 'Predicted Finishes' in the table above have WBA winning the title by 14pts.
