For Robert's first goal both him and Dallas were going for the ball at the same time. I was expecting them to kick each others foot and fluff the attempt on goal. Either Robert's was quicker or Dallas pulled back at the last moment, but both of them just escaped a nasty accident by a whisker.
The margins are so fine, and the finest ones often fall to Bamford.

He probably called it, and as a striker I want him going for it with confidence.
All though yes it would be nice to have a striker is a massive threat, and banging in the goals.
But I do honestly feel that bamford has so much more to offer the team, with everything else he does. Could Robert's do this? I dont know, and it's probably not worth the risk, now we are back on form.
I do feel when Bamford is getting the ball, he is trying too hard to prove the bamford haters wrong. When instead he should carry on doing what he is actually good at, holding the ball up, rattling defenders, bringing other players in to play etc.
Let's be honest both harrison and costa are attacking players and both are just as inconsistent as bamford.
To me it doesnt matter who scores the goals as long as the team plays well and we keep winning. If casilla was are top scorer and we go up who cares??

Good reflection of what Bamford does for the team, some need to see the bigger picture. It’s working with him in the side and yes he isn’t prolific, roughly 1 in 3 but as you say Nick others are guilty of missing easy chances too .
Tyler had a dream return yesterday, coming on when Hull were rattled and Leeds were going for the throat.
He demonstrated a killer instinct for the first goal and showed he was prepared to gamble to head in the second.
He was allowed to play in his natural position instead of being forced into the AMF role Bielsa was using him for last season.
He took his chances. Would Bamford have done so?
Hard to say, first goal was coming on to his left peg which suits Bamford, but if you think back to the Boro game he had a chance to shoot or take it into the box ( though it was on his right) and fed in Pablo instead.
As for the header, I wonder if Bamford would have even made the run, they are different players.

Probably not. He isn't match fit. He needs time as does Shacks if he is to make a contribution, as do a few others.
Unfortunately the U23s have no games for the next two weeks to allow some of the players to work on their match fitness either.
So on to the bench alongside Mr Augustin for the next one.

but the shot was hit central to the goal straight at the keeper, had it have been bamford it would probably have been saved.
