Call to Arms

Post by Peter in Blackpool »

If you saw someone packing a bomb into a rucksack, you would do something about it right?
yet terrorists have killed less than 100 people in UK in last 10 years.

Covid-19 is set to kill 250,000 unless we take direct action now.

When the government means no unecessary travel no going out, no visiting friends they f**king well mean it!

The more people follow these instructions the more we will be able to keep the death rate low.

If you are not at home, ask yourself why not?

shopping for food or medicines, doing a vital job, fair enough.......anything else and you, yes YOU are tantamount to committing murder.

Really guys its as simple as that.

If we all self isolate covid-19 would be history in 2 weeks with less than 500 deaths.....if no-one bothers 250,000 will die? lets set an example to europe and like we did in 1940 stand alone against an evil disease threatening to take over the world

It seems to me that it’s the 70+ generation that are saying they’re not prepared to stay in. I’m still working but have noticed about a 50% reduction in traffic and people since yesterday’s news, Leeds city centre is very quiet for a workday but again plenty of older people carrying on regardless.

The Republic of Ireland is taking it seriously, schools closed for the foreseeable future, they closed the pubs and restaurants.

Personally i think drastic measures need to be taken in the short term to save lives in the long term.

Shut schools, non essential businesses, if people want to leave the house they need a permit etc.

Be better to have a short term inconvenience then a long term crisis imo.

How did one manage to mix C19 with bombs, terrorism, murder and 1940's central European socialism?

The reporting of a global virus origonating from one of the three axis of evil member countries China tells me that the globalists are up to something. Whilst we are all preoccupied with the continued saturation of C19 news, I and many others are keeping vigilant and alert as to why we are terrorised by hours of news reports on a killer global virus. During the 80's a similar terror was spread globally in the form of a virus called aids. A projected global death toll of millions was painted, but the mass deaths of ordinary people never materialised. I never personally met nor heard of anybody that contracted HIV!

I recently contracted a nasty flu like virus similar to C19 symptoms around early February, resulting in two lost working days and a full recovery in around 7 days.

I wouldn't panic? Unless one is very old, weak, ill or standing in ones local shop staring at empty shelves. What would those 1940's central European socialists make of todays selfish panic buyers?

Your premiss that those who go about their business are murderers is OTT

The advice coming from the government regarding social distancing is to try reduce the forecasted 250,000 deaths down to 20,000.

If we do not follow that advice we will be responsible for all those extra deaths

This is a war, we will have casualties, it is up to each and everyone of us to do our duty to minimise fatalities.

Your duty is to eliminate unnecessary contact with others.

That is not me saying that, but the government as advised by our top medical experts.

The French refused and their government has had to make it law, fining people who leave home without a permit.....do we want that here?

Agree with Broad Ford, this level of fearmongering has some ulterior purpose.

Destabilise, isolate, impose control.

Nothing is more important than our liberty, and we need to be very vigilant to protect it.

Ah: "Advice from the government" - verily advice to be trusted, I think not.

Get on with life and stop worrying about the stupidity of listening to people who say one thing and act differently.

By acting normally and going about your business you will most likely have a minor chest cold and get over it.

Yes, some people will die and that's very sad, but nothing can be done about it, so get over it.

"Peter in Blackpool", I think you ought to disappear up your own orifice (choose the one) because you are a fomentor of strife.

Basically, f**k off - we don't need a prickdust like you on here.

I'll probably be censured for abuse but it will be worth it to rid this site of your poisonous presence.

Glad you agree Sara. Imposing control over large gatherings concerns me greatly, especially when Leeds United's race through the gears to the top of the table is interrupted unnecessarily. C19 is just a nasty flu and these viruses kill the vulnerable, but to suspend large public gatherings is unacceptable. British people have the right to gather in public spaces and this British value is worth fighting for.

How would this CONTROLLING government react to thousands of UK football devotees peacefully gathering outside their home stadiums demanding the right to return to their place of worship?
