just read that quarantine on boats is the worse possible thing that can happen since air is recirculated through the ventilation system and if there is a virus it can easily be spread to everyone. I should imagine a similar thing could happen in the pressurised cabins of airplanes.
Nipped into local Tesco after work today, had a peek to see what was flying off the shelves..... still no pasta, no flour, no loo roll, frozen pizzas all but gone and most surprising of all the freezers had been emptied of Yorkshire Pudding!! wtf is going on??
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

We have just been sent a medical alert that no one is to use anti inflammatories (eg I brufen, Voltarol, naproxen and there are others) for pain or high temperature. Use paracetamol instead. There seems to be a link between severe cases of covid19 affecting young people with no underlying illnesses and taking anti inflammatories. Initial reports started coming from French Drs on Friday. This has been confirmed by infectious diseases consultants here - there are 4 young people in ICU in Cork who have no underlying illnesses - all were taking anti inflammatories and there are concerns this has caused a more severe illness. We have been asked to spread the message. French tv and radio apparently broadcast the same warning today..

Same.
Went into Sudbury Tesco this morning and it was like the last Saturday before Christmas, absolute bedlam and not a single toilet roll, pasta, eggs, paracetamol, bleach or disinfectant.
Most of those things people can manage without but what the hell are people supposed to do if the run out of toilet paper and they can't get any?
I didn't go in Aldi but have been told people are queuing to get in the car park!
Madness.

On Sunday morning the queues were so bad to get into an Aldi by us that the Police were called to control the traffic, the entrance to the car park is direct off a main road and it was causing chaos.
We went to Asda in Andover yesterday morning, we timed it for arrival at 0800 in the hope that people would be at work and school run etc, and that part worked, but as we pulled into the car park, we noticed people walking around with a 28 pack of bog roll under their arms, nothing else, so when we got the trolley and went in, every single trilley had a 28 pack of bog roll, there was 1 couple with a trolley each and each trolley had a 28 pack of bog roll.... The shelf had some left with a big sign stating that only 1 large pack per customer.....
Seems people were just going in to get the bog roll and take it home......
What on earth goes through their minds??
Hopelessly lost.................. But making good time

Scary, my wife works in that hospital as a nurse and it’s true there are a few younger people in a bad way with no underlying health problems. Have heard mixed news on it being anti inflammatories. I hope not as that will make a hell of a lot of people more susceptible to severe symptoms

We had a gig booked for Saturday, 3 bands playing a charity night, we've had to cancel it, as we've had 30 people contact us today to say they wouldn't be coming, and expect the number to grow.
This thing will have a big impact on charities too.
My dad is the chairman for Nuneaton and Bedworth Mencap, they have had to suspend all activities in the area for the members. This is a shame, as they (the members) use the facilities every night of the week.

One thing I didn't know until this loo roll panic was it is actually something we manufacture here in the UK. We have all the bits and pieces needed to make it and aren't waiting for imported parts so loo roll is the one thing we don't need to panic buy for!!
My middle son who works for the council has gone home to self isolate today seeing as 2 ladies in his work team have tested positive for the virus Alf has also been sent home from work as a precaution and will be working from home for the foreseeable.
