Guess the Brewery and/or Beer
This period of enforced confinement has prompted us to think about clearing some of the ‘stuff’ in the converted loft. It has become somewhat of an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ repository. For goodness sake we may need it as the house isolation room
Anyhow, one of the boxes uncovered today had a sizeable stash of old beer drip mats in it. I reckon all of them must be 25yrs+ old
Having bored you all with footie grounds/old headlines/former players/album covers threads I’m now moving onto ‘Name the brewery and/or beer’ from these old drip mats.
First up is below:
Good health

I'll have to have dig for something a little more challenging (mind you other than you I'm guessing others may not have known)
Yes they are but just a small operation, they have a pub about 10 miles from us but it's been a while since I've been in.
When I was a kid we used to get a delivery from them , they had a slogan"beer at home means davenports" when I was 16, the old man used to buy me a 2ltr bottle of their cider, i was told it's yours, you can drink it in one night or it can last you over the week, it's up to you. He was very ill and he knew he wouldn't be able to buy me my first beer legally in a pub at 18 like he did with my brothers, so i got that instead.

Have to say that when I was in England I quickly came to the conclusion that, not only is the beer/ale much better than in the US, it's served at the proper temperature. American beers are served so cold that whatever flavor it may have had gets lost.
English cask ales are fantastic. I miss them more than I can say.

I'll leave this one for Norm.
But I have sunk a few in my time, especially in the Dales.
