Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Not me...
haven't been in one or had a drink since the day we beat Scum 1-0
and certainly not gonna start now.
I think the places will be full of the idiots who can't get to the beach because it is raining today....
I envisage drunken rowdiness turning into fights and mayhem all over the country....

Lots of aggravation for the NHS & police dealing with all the p*ssheads today
Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
I'm heading into town later this afternoon to meet a mate. If its too busy and full of knoobs then i will be returning home pretty sharpish. There is rumours of people having to book tables and so on just to get into pubs. Will have to see how it goes. I go out for a pint to chat and relax. If its a military style operation it will defeat the point of it for me. We will probably end up just going back to my mates house for a game of Darts.

Heard a guy tell me recently that he wont be rushing off to the pub anytime soon.
Dosent interest him in the slightest and he's something who spent his life time socialising& playing in clubs/bars etc..

No way it will be too busy, plus all the pubs round me will be full of Forest and Rams fans dancing round their handbags

Not me, as pubs not opening in Wales until 13th July and even then can only be outside.
However, even if we could don’t think I’d be going back any time soon.

Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
I saw a poll of almost 5,000 people this morning and a huge 83% said they wouldn’t be going. I’m in no rush to go,I’d rather wait weeks/ months until there’s a more normal approach to going and having a sit down, chat, game of pool or a quiz with friends.
Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Booked a table at the local for midweek. We go there for off sales anyway, so might as well stop a bit longer, drink it in the garden and chat to a few folks.
The landlord is a personal friend, and it will be calm and civilised, otherwise I wouldn't bother. I don't like the idea of 'registering' anywhere I don't know the other people.

Not me, will be leaving it for a while until the knobs get the "pubs are back open" excitement out of their system. Alcohol and social distancing feel like unlikely bedfellows, would not be surprised to see a spike in cases over the next few weeks. Hope I'm wrong, but common sense seems to be lacking in a sizeable portion of the populace. I don't think it is a bad thing that pubs and restaurants are reopening, the hospitality sector has taken a battering during this crisis, but I have a feeling the idiots will spoil it for those that can behave and respect the measures put in place.

Not me but booked a nice restaurant for me and the wife tomorrow night

Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Not for Mrs 64 & I, we tend drink at home anyway
Looking forward to eating at our favourite pub/restaurants however we'll leave it for a while until we feel it's safe to venture into normal life again

Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Not me. Our local is a 'go to destination pub' with outstanding views. People clamour there every Summer and I reckon folk will be champing at the bit to get back this weekend.
We also have a restaurant pub up in the village which is opening today. That will be very well organised, no drunken rowdies, but will wait to see how things go with that. Some friends of mine have booked for lunch today, so I will be sounding them out later to see how it was

Back from town, the 2 pubs that are often busy on Saturday's, 1 a weatherspoons, are fairly empty, not the rush people were predicting. Tonight could be different, the Police are treating it like they do a New Years Eve.
Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Me - no restrictions here in our relatively isolated location and the local VFW bar is now open and doesn't have crowds of outsiders so we just apply common sense.
All through the lockdown close friends of ours and us have been meeting at each others' homes 2 and 3 times a week - none of us go anywhere else except for the odd doctor or hospital visit and life goes on. We've had one person with covid-19 in the entire 9,000 population of our county and she's OK.
I still think weasel's proposed solution would have been the best way to go.

Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Last time I went to pub was the weekend before lockdown , that was only for meal and not drink . Don't drink alcohol anyway so no point really . Last time we went for a drink ( I have j2o ) must be over 2 years ago . Not a fan of pubs these days , they're either too noisy , too busy or both . So we won't be going to pub or restaurant for the very near future at least , not util this thing is pretty much done and dusted and I think the government have set it all up for round 2 of the virus , but it will all be OUR fault for not being good and listening to Boris , not his fault for opening everything too soon . For fucks sake , its the English he's talking to , if we go to Spain and the bars are open all day , we will drink all day to the point of being totally out of it .......... what does he f**king expect ? Sorry , but I'm not joining in.
Re: Who's going down the pub today ?
Nope.
Very rarely go into pubs unless it's for a meal.
My village has a lovely pub and I might pop in for a pint at some point but not for a few weeks.
