Re: Leeds United v Barnsley - MATCH THREAD - Berardi in for Phillips, Kiko makes the bench
Worst we've played all season but who cares. I think we looked disjointed and can't help but feel that the tweaking(s) of our formation unsettled us.

Barnsley lads look really down, they’ve given that a real go tonight, but came up short, for once we had the rub of the green when it mattered.

Glass half empty time:
We're almost there, but boy was that ugly.
Phillips gone, Costa looking like he might be out for a while, Pablo subbed off and looked very unhappy about it, and the worst team in the league were all over us for the final 45.
Thank goodness we got all three points today and only need a draw out of the last two, because that was not encouraging.
Glass half full time:
WE'RE GOING UP! (probably)

I thought Struijk did well when he came on.

Thank God for that. We were useless. Very unlucky for Barnsley they played well and deserved to win.

A wins a win, but all credit to Barnsley certainly got some fight in them

We need a one point swing in any one of six games to go up now! Surely, surely!

Hernandez was v angry at being subbed... Perhaps at his own poor performance or being a sub being subbed? Looked poor when he came on but not really a game suited for him

Applause to Barnsley, really enjoyed watching that battle of tactics as MB tried to find an answer to the midfield issue..Personally Dallas off for Struijk might have been the move but Struijk was very good I thought. TBH I didn't think Barnsley would score, Meslier fairly quiet apart from a couple of easy saves

We looked really tired in the second half and that worries me a little bit especially as Derby will have had two days more rest than us.

Hopefully WBA or Brentford drop points as that doesn't give me any confidence for our last two matches

Finally we’ve done to others as they do to us, somehow won while offering very little.

Thought Halme and Mowatt looked good players, if Barnsley can find a goal scorer even if they go down they should come back up.

Fcking hell, that was torture. Very, very lucky today, but given all the luck that goes against us, about time we got some. Credit to Barnsley, they deserved to win and were the best team we've played all season. Kept waiting for them to tire out but it didn't happen. I can forgive the nerves and tiredness, but it was too easy for them in midfield huge gaps everywhere.
Come on you dog botherers, you know you need a point tomorrow.

Result all that's important, who knows how it would have turned out with other decisions. For all I felt too many players were out of position there is no guarantee any other decisions taken would have been better so Bielsa got it spot on as his decisions actually played out and the result was a win.

Another huge three points against a team that was very very desperate for a win.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

Impressed with Struijk given he was thrown in at the deep end. Won some big tackles and headers and nearly set up a goal with a wonderful pass.
