Cabral and Koch combined for less than White would be great business

Robin Koch would be a good addition. But these transfer rumours are just going round in circles. He was one of the first names we were linked with at the start of the window. Tbh it's getting a bit boring, like a war with no battles or a xxx with no shagging. At least we've got some good young prospects in. But barring injuries I'll predict our starting line-up at home to Newcastle will be:
Meslier
Ayling
Struyik
Cooper
Dallas
Phillips
Klich
Costa
Harrison
Pablo
Bamford
And that could easily be the same team for the first 10 matches.
I've already forgotten about Ben White.

Hi all, just thought I'd pop in to this. I'm pretty interested to see how Bielsa (and you lot) get on in the PL. For me, I definitely think that Fulham and WBA will be in relegation trouble and that given the right purchases you will be about mid table (though if you go in with Bamford as the starting #9 i think there will be a lot of trouble, likewise going into the season with only one fit senior center back is also extremely troubling). Also, I'm very interested to see what type of work and signings you go for in the transfer window. However I think that 'doing a Sheffield United' will be harder to accomplish as there are a few glaring holes in the starting 11. At least 2 center backs and a striker are probably needed just to make sure there is adequate cover.

The Benrahma transfer saga this summer is very interesting, as looks to be a lot of clubs interested in signing him. Absolutely no clue how'd he fit in at Chelsea given their new signings already, so would probably be a reasonable target. Can say almost the exact same thing for Eze as well.

You're right we do need at least four or five quality signings, only a matter of time before they arrive I suspect. Not a lot of activity anywhere right now in what could be a flat transfer market for the majority of clubs in these surreal times!

Will Villa keep hold of Jack ?

Speak for yourself. We are signing Joe Hart.

Yes really.

Not the fastest but doesnt seem particularly slow. Carries the ball well for a big man, players literally bounce off him

Said he is similar to Viduka but actually he is probably bit more like Gignac.
Cabral looks the business and certainly seems to fit our style. Sadly, I can't bring myself to believe any reports at this stage...

Won't it just be squad signing for homegrown numbers? Like when Chelski signed Rob Green?

I wish we could just sign a CB so I don't have to hear about Ben White anymore. Fed up.

Phil Hay confirms we're interested in Robin Koch. 2 caps for Germany, 6ft 3, 82 games in the Bundesliga and helped Freiburg finish 8th. With only a year left, he'd probably cost around £12-15m, makes a lot of sense.

Me too, at a point where I am tired of hearing about it.

If we can get him at a reasonable price - great. If we can't - move on. Simple as.

Robin Koch looks like he would be a clever bit of business and has the quality to make it at Leeds.

If there's any truth to the absurd amount bid, then it's time to move on and look elsewhere. White doesn't warrant such a price tag and he'd probably admit that himself. The whole narritive is becoming tiresome, just let Brighton keep him and see how he fairs in the Premiership.

Next story...... Jack Sheet is on his way.

He has Ali's hairstyle :)

Be nice for Ali to have someone to discuss hairstyles with.

Sign him up, Ban White saga has dragged on to long now, another bid would be stupid, he isnt worth £20mil never mind £30mil.

So go get Robin Koch, a full German international only 15 months older who has 80 Bundesliga games to his name and is well thought of in Germany.

Ben White- 25-40mil
Robin Koch- 10-20mil.

The domestic market is a joke perfectly summed up above.

I give you, Ali's twin :)
Signed

Judging by the You Tube clip I watched, he seems to score a lot of headed goals. This would be a big improvement on what we have, as Bamford is a shockingly bad header of the ball - especially for a tall bloke. Like Viduka he seems to have quick feet.

We only seem to sign players covered in crap tattoos, so he'd fit in well.

Yeah, I'd assume that the signings will start coming relatively quickly. It does feel like pretty much every bottom half (non top 6  ) PL club are after the same targets (Watkins, Eze, Benrahma, Ramsdale, Wilson) which will be very interesting.

Unless one of the Manchester clubs stumps up £80 mil for him — our reported valuation of him, I doubt that he would leave. Plus you can't expect Manchester United to be bullied into doing a deal at that price. I'm more worried about City buying back Douglas Luiz because he has become absolutely integral to our side, than Jack leaving.

Can't help but think there might still be a decent player there in Hart . Confidence shot to bits , but get some of that back and like Green who we had slated until Leeds got him and he did a bloody good job ........... he just might turn things around a bit .

Speaking of Joe Hart (and completely off topic)..........

A number of years back I was watching the US - England World Cup game in a big sports bar in Las Vegas with about 100 other people, 98 of whom were Americans. There were two Englishmen down at the other end of the bar. When Hart let in that soft goal that allowed the US to tie the score, there was wild cheering for a bit. After the cheering died down, one of the two Englishmen, clearly frustrated, yelled out, "F*** the USA!"

There was a very loud, collective "whoa!" as a hundred pairs of eyes focused on this one poor fellow. His friend next to him moved away from him and looked at all of us as if to say, "It wasn't me!"

We left the guy alone; the goal was punishment enough. My buddies and I later bought the two of them a pint to show there were no hard feelings. Anyway, we were very happy to get away with a draw; the US were clearly second best that day.
