Doesn't look as Nick is popping in this evening, so we'll go for Newmarket as the main meeting tomorrow (Saturday 26/09)

I think it was my pick next week Nick, so you take that  :moggy:
Sorry, mate, didn't realise I was in the chair. Thanks for stepping in, and yes, I'll take your pick next week.

Still can't believe 'You're Hired' was 100/1, well overpriced & had as good credentials as some of those at the head of the market. So many reasons why it had a decent chance!

Thank, thank you all... I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my Father for corrupting me in the ways of Gambling, snooker, billiards, darts and dominoes, and the appreciation of Tetley bitter, fine single malts and cigar's ... And the RTR gods who continue to look down on me ... oh how remiss of me , and my fellow "nap of the Dayer's" for this fine award :gold:

Saturdays and festivals are much better than picking one daily... I usually pick 3 maybe 4 and then relook at those... I am so tired of picking the wrong one to use daily  ...but I feel I am not alone in this

Indeed you're not alone Smudge, maybe when I introduced NAP OF THE DAY I should have gone with :

NAP
Next best
Treble

as they do in the morning papers!

I went with NAP OF THE DAY to give us a daily competition, having just one selection makes life easier for those who organise the competition such as Gandi & his subs Cat, Ges & myself

Mrs 64 & I also prefer the Saturday/Festival competitions too. I like to get my teeth into a racecard, nothing is more frustrating picking winners & missing out as we only have one choice during the week, same for us all I suspect!

Going back to yesterday's racing

I still don't know how my selection Gallipoli lost in the last race at Newmarket

I was counting the £££'s as my 16/1 nag went past Vale Of Kent in the final furlong only to be denied on the line by a resurging run from the Mark Johnston horse after it looked beat, very rarely they comeback once they lose the lead close home.

£55 winnings much better than the £12.50 I received in the end, can't be too greedy

Nevermind we go again today, nap sorted over breakfast :)
