I said a long long time ago that Bielsa is like a mad scientist who's spent his life searching for the perfect formula. In South America he drew up his equations and devised his methods. In Europe he struggled to find a laboratory to put it all together. In England, at Leeds, all the pieces may well be falling together for him to craft his life's work. He has the backers, he has the facilities and he's getting the ingredients together. The mad professor may well be only a few steps away from creating a Doomsday weapon against the entire football world.

Re: Michaël Cuisance - DONE DEAL!
I think Cuisance deserves credit tbh same as Sancho did.
He has faith in his ability, spoke to his manager and didnt get the desired response (guaranteed chances ) so decided to leave
I think its really brave of him tbh.
He could easily have stayed at the best club side in Europe right now, took his chance and gambled that he may get games but he wants to prove himself now.
We are a step down.
The Premier league isnt however.
I applaud him for having the confidence to make such a choice tbh and frankly if in time he is good enough for Bayern to want him back then thats great for us as he must have done well.
Hypothetically speaking if we can break into the top 4 in 2, 3, 4 years maybe he wont want to go back

Re: Michaël Cuisance - DONE DEAL!
I agree with you Smudge on what you say here. However Carrick has a point too. The reason lies in the article being an “Opinion” piece. Once you see that you can take it that it will be biased on one side or the other as it’s an opportunity for an individual to air their point of view. There is usually no neutral in an opinion. The fact he makes no effort to balance Cuisance’s decision to leave with positives from Leeds’ point of view is just poor journalism and shows a total lack of research.Smudge3920 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 3:46 pm I didn't write the article... If you are going to present reasons why he was Hasty, as a reporter you should always present possible reasons why he decided to go the opposite way, to at least give some balance to his piece. (At the very least ask the player before writing)...
He failed to point out the myriad of possible reasons why at 21 he decided to join Leeds, or brought him to his decision...
i.e Bielsa, solid long term plan, history of club, the opportunity to be a part of a club that is in the process of / going to build a legacy (as opposed to being part of one that is already established) ergo building his own reputation from the bottom up (commonly known as a challenge)... I admire his decision to want to play and develop his own way with a team (Leeds) that has the same ambition, and not a team that will just spend money every time some one gets injured. Chelski, scum and Citeh are further examples of this.
I guess we just have differing opinions of objectivity mate.
That’s where Carrick is correct. His “opinion” is similar to most non Leeds fans point of view of this move - uneducated, under researched and slightly hysterical (especially about Rodrigo playing “only 117 minutes in three games”
The writer also appears to suggest that a player should never leave a club that has been successful recently. It never crosses his mind that a young player may not like the atmosphere, the manager, his colleagues, the training he’s getting, the life he has in that city etc. etc.
I think he’s just a pissed off, and slightly rattled, Bayern fan more than a journalist.

Re: Michaël Cuisance - DONE DEAL!
I went for 7th because I had a feeling that with Koch and Rodrgo we must be aiming high. Those players wouldn't come to a premier league club aiming to finish in the bottom half. At first I thought we'd try to build slow. But now we've added Llorente and Cusiance, I can see us challenging Top 4 within 2 years.

I agree completely - going from Nancy to Germany at 17, and from Monchengladbach to Bayern after one year when he was voted POTY shows cojones aplenty.Cjay wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 6:59 pm I think Cuisance deserves credit tbh same as Sancho did.

My point was, looking at his decision objectively ( neutral, non Leeds fan), most would be wondering why he chose to leave Bayern just when the main obstacle to his getting more playing time was removed (Thiago Alcantara).
Hopefully he realises that apart from an increased chance of first team minutes, by joining Leeds he will be able to benefit under the genius that is Bielsa - after all, in a few years (?) that opportunity will be gone for all the new talent emerging.
That alone will be a mark of respect and increased bragging rights for former players in years to come, and might prove the making of him.

Re: Michaël Cuisance - DONE DEAL!
Cuisance should be excited to be coming in to Leeds right now, that second midfield role beside Klich looks up for grabs.
I think he might take longer to adapt and fit in than the other signings but I’m very excited to see him play

Re: Michaël Cuisance - DONE DEAL!
Bielsa....just asked about Cuisance
"I would prefer to talk about him when he is officially our player. I don’t want to repeat the case of Dan James"
How long is this medical/announcement going to take

Hopefully so. It just seems they are taking a long time to make the announcement.

Probably that new strip.
