Yeah. I really don't get it. Many people have sided with Trump on one single issue (say anti-abortion) even though they agree that he's unsuitable for the jobLumiukko wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 6:59 am He did indeed. What.I can't get over is the Latino populations voting for Trump, it's like turkeys voting for Xmas. Sadly for this demographic it's based purely on religious conservative values and preventing more Mexican/Latino immigrants (a snobbishness from immigrants who managed to settle here against their own).

Great post Bob. Fingers crossed for the AM eh?BobHirst wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 7:03 am About to go to bed. Hope the news is better in the morning.
I can understand why people voted for Trump in 2016. He was a famous TV personality. He wasn't a politician. He was different, so why not see what he could do. But to vote for him again after 4 years of constant lies, vulgarity, disrespect for half of the population and being a vile, despicable person....well it just blows me away. At this moment they are reporting Trump has got over a million more votes in Texas than he got in 2016. It embarrasses, sickens and baffles me.
Half the people in this country don't give a damn about this man's lack of moral character.
Well off to bed and hope things have improved when I wake up.
I'm also baffled how Trump thinks he can call a result in a statement this evening? Isn't that inciting?

Absolutely. I can't understand how one issue like that can be more important than so many others, in isolation or as a whole.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 7:04 am Yeah. It' hard to see anything changing now. Trump's projected to take 290+ The only hope is that some of these results have been called too early before all the mail-in ballotsBobHirst wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 7:03 am About to go to bed. Hope the news is better in the morning.

Go on the Don.
The way you guys were going on i thought everyone hated the Don in the States. I can't believe he made the crude statement about fraud when he still has a 50% chance of winning.
Its a damning indictment of Western politics and the rise of the Internet, people feel invested like never before in history. The news outlets and the newspapers were all we had to make our minds up. Trump, the guy in Ukraine, and i wouldn't rule out Lawrence Fox making waves here in the UK if he's got the fight in him.
Politics is changing. People don't want autocracy, they want a piece of the pie for themselves. Trumps anti-establishment message and for all his narcissistic rhetoric he could be getting another 4 years in office. People rioting & Looting for hardened criminals only plays to his strengths.

Re: USA Elections
So the US electorate takes it chance to come out en mass and show how it truly feels about being led by an individual who contradicts so many of their own personal core values.

Gutted. Even if Biden manages to pull this out.
I am utterly ashamed that so many of my countrymen have seen just what Trump is over the last four years and vote for him anyway.
His unrepentant racism alone should disqualify him, but millions upon millions either don't care or are racists themselves. I don't know which is worse.

From what I am seeing now, I think Biden will win.
Hopefully
Get rid of Trump and then Boris and maybe we can get back to sanity.

Re: USA Elections
If Biden can just about hold on in Nevada where the gap seems to have narrowed, and also Wisconsin, then he should only need 1 of Michigan or Pennsylvania.......
Hopefully he can claim victory On Thursday......Nevada wont start recounting till then by sounds of it.
Come on Biden.......we need this to go your way to restore some faith in the the human race again please !

If you want war vote for Biden
If you wat higher taxes vote for Biden
If you want less border control vote for Biden
If you want more lenient immigration laws vote for Biden
If you want manufacturing to be outsourced to foreign countries vote Biden
This has been Trump's playbook and it does not seem to matter that he is both intellectually and morally bankrupt. If he wins this he will believe he is invincible and with bluff and bluster you can get away with murder.

Re: USA Elections
We have ended up in the worst possible scenario. If Trump wins then all decent people have to live with another 4 years of his lies and selfish deeds. If Biden wins Trump will not accept defeat. He will instruct his followers that the election was rigged, that mail in ballots shouldn't have been counted and he will file all kinds of legal disputes that he hopes will end up in the very pro Republican Supreme Court. If by some chance he loses in the Supreme Court he will refuse to acknowledge defeat and he will rile up his supporters and who knows what happens then.
In my opinion this is the day America died.

Jeez Bob, sounds very depressing and complicated. Also shows if he took those actions, he truly wasn't fit to lead, if we didn't know that before.BobHirst wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 4:08 pm We have ended up in the worst possible scenario.
