yes but they havent come up against our defence yet.

we will get 67% possession, 25 shots at goal and score twice.

meanwhile Burnley will get 6 shots at goal and score 3 times

With Diego Llorente at the back I doubt Burnley will even get a sniff of a goal.

Whereas Burnley are amongst the teams sweating for PL survival, Leeds are doing very well so far.

I’d hope that he’ll start with Struijk & Llorente at CB.

If he isn’t going to pick Llorente with Cooper & Koch out, we might as well see if his former club will take him back.

A win tomorrow would move us above Palace, Newcastle plus possibly Wolves (if we win by two clear goals)

Wood was lethal in the 6 yard box for us, not quite so effective in the Premier League. Bamford’s all round game is far better.

Absoluetly concur YS, his all round game is outstanding, plus he adds goals, and his defensive play for a striker is something else....And once we have a settled defence and players to fill in... we need that all round ability, when the day comes he can concentrate on pure goal scoring ...

I never rated Wood for us, not seen him play since. Wood is too big to be an effective centre forward but like Bamford can do a situational job...

Still think he needs to score more goals though, the amount of chances this team creates is unbelievable!

The Scum game was a “free hit” and the fact that we lost will not define our season (although the fact that our defence was so poor is a bit concerning). Imo today’s game has far more relevance, if we have any pretensions of being good enough for this league (and I think, on our day, we easily are) then we simply cannot afford to lose to the likes of Burnley, even a draw would be barely good enough.

So a comfortable 2 or 3-nil will do nicely, trouble is, as we all know, nothing is ever that comfortable for Leeds United so a scrappy 1-nil or mad 4-3 will be fine by me so long as we win!

Come on Leeds show us you’re good enough for this league!

Yeah, but I've also noticed that a lot of these teams, like West Ham, Palace, Newcastle, and even Leicester that generally play with a negative/speculative approach, will actually come out for the first twenty minutes and try to nick a goal and then park the bus. We've often been caught by this in the past few seasons.

This season, only Citeh, Villa and Spurs have a better defensive record than Burnleh, which helps them to generally stay competitive in matches. So we may need some magic to unlock them from Pablo, Rapha, Rodders or Poveda. I'm hoping we get the basics right, like marking, tracking runners, putting a foot in, winning aerial duels and passing well, as we did none of that against Scum, hence the heavy defeat. If you get the basiscs right then our flashy football should overcome then.

Burnleh are one of the form teams in the PL, they have 8 points from their last 4 matches, only Villa, Everton and Liverpool have more. So it could be a hard match and closely fought, but I believe we have enough to beat them.

Two wins against Burnleh and WBA will get us back on track and heading up the table. Two draws would not be disastrous as it would put us on 19 points and keep us away from the drop zone. But if we lose these two matches we're heading for trouble. even losing them I still feel we'll stay up as we'll have our better defenders back and playing regularly at some stage, I hope.

If we do go down, which I'm confident we won't, or even struggle to stay up, I think MB might call it a day. I really hope a d expect that won't happen as the longer Bielsa stays here we have more chance of improvement and advancement as a club, he's worth more than any player we could ever buy, that's for sure.

MOT, let's have these cnuts. I'd have loved Berardi to snap Taylor today, little shitpot

Good post BBGG
I agree completely. Time to stand up, put a foot in and show that we actually do have the quality to play at this level. Cut out the stupid mistakes, get the basics right and we'll beat this lot and many others at this level.
