Brighton played their first team last night on a sapping pitch for 120 minutes.

The seagulls have a long journey on Wednesday to the Etihad, should Citeh batter them god knows what state of mind they'll be in for yet another long journey to Leeds on Saturday which is a match of importance for both clubs.
True mate
Watching Crawley v Leeds should perk them up though, just need to be careful they don't end up with bruised ribs from over-laughing

Nothing positive to add about yesterday’s game. Fingers crossed Meslier stays fit or we’re screwed
You're right there Richard. I'd put Caprile in if Meslier is unavailable.

I’ve been consistent in saying that in my humble opinion he (Casilla) is not of good enough quality to push for a 1st team place. Need a better keeper as back up.
100% right mate.
Stevie Wonder would be way better in our nets :)

Crawley.

Was a disgrace, Bielsa got it terribly wrong and fans have the right to be furious. It isnt an overreaction at all its a perfectly understandable reaction.

Only 1 team ever has performed similarly badly vs a team with such a big gap in league position ever in FA Cup history.

Lets not pretend it hasnt made us a laughing stock and wont be talked about in 10 20 30 years.

Youngsters.

No of course they arent up to it yet, Hull tore them to bits now Crawley, the younger ones are still boys who need a proper footballing education not the pampering they get in the academy. Id send Greenwood, Jenkins, Casey etc to League 2 for the rest of the season.

As a side note, why do we pick Casey over Cresswell? Cresswell always looked to me the better player?

Imo even players like Struijk, Shacks, Davis need loans as well. You will never see what level they really are until you see them playing 90minutes week in and out.

Any half decent u23 can have occasional decent moments but they need games to show whether they can be good players imo.

Hopefully as we sign ready made first 11 players and certain current first 11 players become bench players or leave we can allow the younger players the loans they need for their development.

Agree with that Cjay

I'm pleased I'm not back in the UK in a work scenario getting the bag ripped out of me today, for the millionth time.

I know it goes with the territory of being a supporter, but shame those players didn't show the same pride in their club as we do every day.

FFS what was that yesterday? A fooking abortion and a half and no excuses are valid. I still don't believe what I witnessed :?

As you can gather I'm not happy :x

Surprised by how many small pacey players are in the Burnley squad. Can't see them getting anywhere near Dyche's Land of the Giants any time soon!

Its going to boost Mark Wrights viewing figures that's for sure. We will forever be linked with him and that show. Add to that Crawley have the second lowest budget in the EFL and it really was up there in the biggest Cup shocks. Great to see the emotion in that kid who scored their first goal. He was left for dead in a car crash and it took him 12 months rehabilitation to get back playing. Leeds are always accommodating for the Butcher, Baker & Candlestick maker to have their day in the sun.

I think Bielsa will have told certain players they were playing before the game and we know he's a honorable man that way. Wrong decision for me, play the game to win you only get one chance. None of the players were any good and let themselves and the fans down badly. Some long weekends ahead watching Crawley progress in the Cup. Good luck to them in the 4th round.. they won't get a easier game than that.

So it seems those HT subs were all pre meditated.

I get the Cooper and perhaps even Struijk subs but not Rodrigo.
