Music 2020 Album Of The Year - Result.

Post by Durly »

Aye up all. Have chatted to Leon and he's given me the go ahead to do a belated Album Of 2020 poll, running parallel to the regular album polls but based on the previous year end polls.

Nominations from everybody are welcomed, the more that play the better.

Once they are collated we'll commence with the voting on all six categories

The winner of each category shall go into the Grand Final to establish MOT's actual Album Of 2020

Unless I can sneak Jeff Parker into Jazz I think that's. I'll rely on Sara for the Hackedepichiotto, gambling she might nominate the Sevdaliza too

Faaip, I would say JP could easily be fitted into Jazz if you want to nominate it......although if you had anything else in mind, I was pretty certain to nominate it myself. You can have first dibs though. No problem.

As I've never done this before and I'm "Mr Disorganisation", I'll keep editing my original post and add people's noms in there to keep track. Once everyone has nominated, we'll then commence voting.........I'd like a steer as to how long people would like to decide on nominations. Is a week enough time (Tues next week)? Too much time, too little?

Then I will certainly nominate the Jeff Parker and have edited my original post

Yes, I'll go for those, and Hedvig Mollestad, obviously.

Nick Mason a good shout for live. Have you seen SoS? Really good.

Play it by ear Durly

I'll bump the topic up if it drops near the bottom of the main page.

Did you listen to Nadia's album?

Cheers mate. Yeah but just the once. I'm not as keen as I was on Preservation but I probably need to give it some sustained time.

I shall return and give it another go in lieu of this poll.

Great to see your jazz nominations - I love the Nubya Garcia and GGP albums. Strong year for that genre.

Both brilliant albums

Only just latched onto Nubya's music recently, superb!

I believe I nominated Go Go Penguin's V20 album in a previous album poll
