It was already dipping before Roberts came on, which is probably why Bielsa brought him on

Yep ...It lifted with Roberts on, thought Pablo was the worst of the three subs but again very little game time

Personally i thought none of the subs did much.

Pablo tried to create but his radar was well off and nearly cost us a goal.

Roberts took up decent positions but no actual quality on the ball.

Costa did nothing of note.

Thi k tnat will take two seasons but I agree.

Several touch passes that were nice, and good running off the ball. He didn't come on as a striker which he probably should have.

I am guessing it will have been Struijk who lost DCL at the back post?

Now we have a cushion, I'd love to see some young lads get a chance rather than the same names off the bench. Shackleton, Poveda, Greenwood, Gelhardt, Summerville, Huggins.

Re cjay, regarding not feeling downbeat.
I’m more p***ed off when we deserve something and don’t get it than if we’ve been crap and deserved nothing.

I think so. Either way both goals were poorly defended and we need better next season.

I will have to watch it back YS. He had that much space it could have been anyone. I would have thought he would have been delegated to either Struijk or Coops tho.

Everton are a good side, don't argue, they are!

At the start of this run of games I'd expected to lose this one, a draw would have been great and despite two defensive lapses we could have got something from this game.

Monday is a different prospect, I'd hope to bear Palace.

Bottom line, Everton were pumped, looked quality and we competed well in a game which might have gone our way if played again tomorrow.

Good to see us being disappointed losing to a top 6 competitor. It's a learning curve, and we're learning.

Me too. Get more annoyed when we throw away points. If we lost 5-0, fair enough take it and move on.

Actually Struijk was back post but I think DCL was Coops man!

I love Pablo, but he was dreadful today and hasn't done much all season. Unfortunately when we improve we have to lose players who helped to get us there. No room for sentiment in the PL.
