Well there's definitely a mindset (maybe a minority) on here who reckon he's finished
He's still class, not sure today suited him with the way we were playing though. Harrison and Raph both very deep, even Pablo didn't have much of an outlet.

We do have a habit of shooting or heading the ball straight at the keeper.
Bamford strikes a beauty & it's wrongly ruled out.
Cooper should have done better with at least two, Costa should have tested the keeper more. We need to be more clinical, but we've been saying that for two and a half years.
Bamford's was a qualiy finish, it was marginal but the linesman flagged it. As I've said, I don't think it should be offisde, we need to be favouring attackers making runs.

To lose to a goal like that is tough on the lads. Didn't get to see enough of the game to make a overall judgment but that was harsh.
Same old.
We can't finish. Raphinha produced some brilliant set-piece delivery but we wasted chances that we're on a plate.
They got a titty goal and Bamford has now been robbed twice by those var cnuts.
All in all, we deserved a win, but if you can't score you'll always be vulnerable to a bit of bad luck.
A few players were poor last night, like Klich and Harrison, they really should stop smoking crack

Completely agree YS, attackers and attacking sides should be favoured in offside decisions, as they were in the past.

Always believed football could learn a lot from rugby however FA/FIFA go in a total different direction to the rugby authorities.
Nettohead was booked eventually after he wasting a minute taking a corner.
The current rules of football give players the license to cheat.
The ref and linesmen should be given cattle prods to encourage them to get on with it.

Well, disappointing, really unlucky on the goal. Overall I think it was an even game. They had a couple of fantastic efforts but we had the best clear cut chances. It seems like we're an even team with Wolves and that's definitely a fair assessment of our 1st season back in the premier league. And we definitely had worse injury problems than they did (Koch, Llorente, Rodrigo, Phiilips).
Bamford's goal might have stood if the original ruling was onside. Shame.
Meslier had a very good game. Fantastic save in the 1st half and he didn't put a foot wrong the whole game.
Contrary to previous posts, I thought Shackleton had a decent game. And I thought Roberts was really lively. If Roberts played for any one of the bottom six clubs, he'd be starting every week. Throw in Strujik and I thought all 3 of our fringe players looked the part.
On to the next game, I think our squad is developing really well. We're only about 2 players away from being Champions League quality - with Bielsa in charge that is.
Good and fair summary Andrew, great times ahead mate.

It may have been the stated policy that officials were to err in favour of the attacking team, but in reality it rarely happened. More often than not the flag went up for close/line ball decisions
And you cannot blame the officials because despite fans, coaches, players and the media saying 'it's right to favour the attacking team', any time that a goal was allowed where the attacking team was marginally offside, the boots would be truly and thoroughly put in.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

Bamford's now had two very marginal decisions that have gone against him and us, which have cost us goals and potentially points. We're sitting pretty and will stay up comfortably, but imagine if those decisions had gone against us in a relegation battle, I don't think we'd be feeling philosophical about these decisions.
Hopefully this ends the Roberts argument, just not good enough. How about Gelhardt gets a chance and Summerville for Costa?
Cooper, Ayling, Klich, Costa, Roberts all need replacing in the team next season.

I thought Shackleton had a good game as well but there's certain people on here who look to criticise him at every opportunity.

Me too. Give him a proper run of games in midfield, something he's never had. Most of his appearances have been 2 mins off the bench.
