The only error he made (along with VAR) was the failure to do anything about the tackle on Roberts in the first half.

He allowed a bit too much play acting from Sheffield and a couple of flops from us that weren't fouls, but on the whole a very good display.

I liked that he played advantage properly and booked players on both sides for cynical tackles.

Perhaps the best refereeing display I've seen this season.

Sorry but I fail to see why we're giving him 8+. Thought he was poor and maybe because it was a quiet game incident wise we didn't notice him too much therefore he gets a decent score but he was typically lazy as I bang on about every week blowing everytime a man goes down or/and screams ( never heard players scream like this when I played ). McGoldrick and McBurnie conned him all afternoon, bottled the Roberts tackle and failed to book Fleck after pulling him up for diving plus several advantages he failed to let go. 5.

Any Referee who blatantly ignores the "possible career ending tackle" on Roberts deserves nothing but a 0 (zero) and in this day and age the official body should be calling him into the office on Monday morning to be dealt with.

Good summary of a poor performance. If Roberts was stretchered off with a broken leg and no card given we’d have a different opinion here.
Only when the second Blunts incident of falling over and grabbing the ball did he realise he should give a card.
Finally, Bamford was the biggest victim of us not getting a critical advantage in the first half when he was played into an open run on goal from a midfield flick on, only to be called back for a free to us!!

3 from me is plenty.
