Re: Alioski, what are your thoughts?
Thought the nutter was great today.
Rumours of a move in the news again this week but also that Bielsa is keen to keep him. I think he's a useful squad player.

I want him to stay, he had an outstanding game today... I have never understood those who want rid...different folks, different strokes ... but a great squad player, that is versatile...YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 2:13 pm Thought the nutter was great today.

New contract for me. We're a football team not a collection of over paid individuals. Steaming pile last week, My MOTM this. Superb defensively excellent down the flank

I have nothing against him. He's played out of position all season and has dropped some clangers, but he was very good today. If he does leave at the end of the season he goes with my best wishes. Always gave 110%. He must also be one of the fittest players I've seen!

Two oustanding runs today the first to over lap Jack to lay on Paddy's goal ...the second from his own box, after clearing the ball to be involved in the pressure in the Spurs box... the energiser bunny has nothing on Ali .

Re: Alioski, what are your thoughts?
Said elsewhere that he was my MOTM today. The fact that Bale wouldn’t run for his supper did help him but you can only play who’s against you.
He covered so much ground today. Helped out all over the defence, he was key in helping Harrison to one of his better performances and he got a quality assist.
He also consistently winds up opposition players, usually earning them cards, which you need in every team.
I would have happily waved him off last week but he keeps bouncing back and deserves a new contract. We’re building a squad and he still very much has a role to play in that, if not as a regular starter.

I just don't want to spend money we don't have to, football is in trouble regarding the massively inflated wages and fees so if we're fairly frugal we can guarantee it won't be us that breaks. New striker and 10 and I'm happy for Alio to stay

Re: Alioski, what are your thoughts?
He was brilliant today, absolute total performance and showed his attacking quality to.
He absolutely should stay.
If he wants to go elsewhere for a final pay day and more first team football then thats fine.
He has been a great servant for us and was a rock today.
Signed as a right winger, wears the number 10, plays left back, marks a man out of the game who was one of the best in the world a few years ago.
He was immense vs Liverpool, Manure, Chelsea and Man City to recently.

Re: Alioski, what are your thoughts?
Key performance today for me, I love Alio but with all players if they play s**t I'll say so and he did last week. But his mean is closer to this weeks performance and for that reason we should keep him. Don't forget no pre-season for a promotion club and their players makes their job a lot harder. I'd sign him for 2-3 moreCjay wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 2:29 pm He was brilliant today, absolute total performance and showed his attacking quality to.

Fully agree.
But Ali may want to leave?
Probably get a very decent wage in Turkey for example, more first team football.
And of course social aspects.
He is a Muslim its a Muslim country.
Closer to Macedonia, he possibly even has relatives in Turkey given the close relationship between the 2 countries.
If anything it probably makes sense to move to Turkey if he wants to.
Financially, culturally and socially.

As a left back which isn’t his natural position, The first 20 minutes or so, he’s usually all over the place but then settles down and grows stronger as the game goes on.
Sometimes it’s that 20 minutes that costs us.
Would like him to stay though.

Re: Alioski, what are your thoughts?
If he wants to head back to nearer his neck of the woods I'm fine with that. We would have to buy to replace and no guarantee they'd be better at 4-5 times the cost plus the time it takes to settle anyway.. What he additionally brings in terms of dressing room morale and never stop fighting attitude is worth 5Mill in this day and ageCjay wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 2:42 pm Preaching to the choir![]()

Re: Alioski, what are your thoughts?
One thing for sure his energy levels will be hard to replace, its a keep for me.
He kept Bale out the game (in fact will still be in his pocket when he gets home)but also provided fantastic support going forward.
I actually think his defensive issues are when he's up against big physical wingers, can never doubt his effort.

If we want to actually win something then we need better.
