Be like Everton

Post by Cjay »

Apparently that is what we aspire to be according to Angus

Great.

In all seriousness Everton are a stable club who never have to worry about relegation.

But is that really all we aspire to be?

Because Everton win naff all and compete for no trophies ever.

If Angus said about stability in the short term but we aim for Europe and eventually top 4 then great.

But to aspire to be bloody Everton is very underwhelming.

They are the epitome of just another club.

A little clumsy the way stated maybe , but all I read was Kinnear wants stability for the club in the prem as achieved by the likes of Everton, perhaps in hindsight he should have said one of the remaining 5 (Less Spuds) as an example.

If you wanna compete with the big 6 you need to spend 100m every season and pay massive wages. I personally don't like that brand of mercenary football. Everton are to be lauded imo .. especially this season

We're a long long way and a lot of money away from being a top 4 club sorry cjay.

Will take 10 plus years to become a top 4 regular club

Consolidation is key over the next few years, Everton and Leicester probably the clubs to look up to.

Agreed, Leicester are a much better suggestion. Everton are just a dull, boring club who achieve nothing. I honestly preferred the 16 years we've had, compared to what Everton have done in the mean time.

Still it beats wanting to be like Brighton though, as Radz wants.
