What is the point of reduced crowds?

Post by 1964white »

Majority of fans not wearing masks.
When a goal is scored social distancing goes out of the window.

May as well fill the grounds.

Hope it's not so crazy at ER next Sunday.

Bit different today.

21,000 who all had to have a negative test before attending. Will only be 9,000 at Elland Road spread around the place.

21,000 in a 85k stadium

9,000 in a 37k stadium.

Unsure of the regulations yet, awaiting a email from LUFC....our fans may have to take a lateral covid test.

The whole top tier of Wembley is closed though, and most of the middle tier too.

Beleive fans will be spread around the North, Lower East and South next weekend. Where are you sat?

I can't recall sitting in my seat, even at half-time I'm stood up chatting to my Leeds pals.

I get that Swannie, but why no masks worn by the majority of fans especially the younger ones who haven't even had their first jab yet? Some have them wrapped around their neck as a token gesture, what's the point of that?

I totally agree. I noticed the younger ones not wearing their masks and thought exactly the same re jabs. My point was that social distancing will never work at Premier League Games. Snooker yes, golf yes, but football crowds.....no.....it just won't work

It's crazy that fans don't have to wear masks in the early stages of their return to matches.

Have to agree, at the very least. In my opinion in addition to masks, PCR swab tests should also be compulsory maximum 72 hours prior to attendance at the minimum, (even those not foolproof), and adequate social distancing, (which as highlighted by one or two others would most likely be impossible during euphoric moments). In my opinion, they are asking for trouble, particularly with the new C-19 Indian variant prevalent.

Because we are out of respiratory virus season and vulnerable people who wanted the vaccine have had it.

If people want to lock themselves down let them crack on.

The pubs with beer gardens in my home town all had queues outside yesterday afternoon, no masks no social distance, and these are young people who haven’t been vaccinated ( like someone mentioned on here).

The numbers will start to rise again.
