Can't help but think we've let them go a bit too soon, both were excellent today and didn't look out of place at all. I'm all for progress and they're ageing championship era players but Pablo has sooooo much class and knowhow and Bera has such will to win........ultimately Bielsa knows best I guess.
Does the lack of a send off for Alio mean he might be staying?

Well summed up Chilli. I must say I felt very emotional during the game too. It was so important that fans were there today. They did us all proud in the atmosphere they created and the send off they gave Berardi and Hernandez.

What an end to an incredible season! To secure 9th, finish with 4 wins in a row - and we finished only 8 points off the Champions League places, simply outstanding!!

In the height of the celebrations you do get a sense of things changing too. Interesting times ahead.

Well, after what was a roller coaster 1st half to the season..it has been a monumental ride, culminating in our last 11 games with us as (in an 11 game league) Joint with the champions at the top...overall 9th, 8 points below a CL place is absolutely more than I could have dared hope for.

A game of emotions as we say farewell to Pablo, Berrardi and Alioski, possible coops, but to temper the loss of these 3 stalwarts, we have so much to look forward to next season. Could it also be Coops last game for us ?

Sad to see KP with such a possiblely long term injury, could put the Euro's out of reach for him... hard to critisise him, yes late in the game, but it sums up the never say die attitude whilst the game is in play we have developed.

Next on the agenda...a two year deal announcement regarding the God
Followed by, the best recruiting period to upgrade and strengthen the squad.

Made my views and opinions very clear in other threads... It has been a pleasure to be on this journey with all of you this year...

heard a report that Kalvin had a broken collarbone... I thought it was a dislocated shoulder.

the look in his eyes when he was on the touch lane showed he was in great pain... and when he was walking off he looked up little bit dazed.

If the report is true then a fractured clavicle is a better outcome than a dislocated shoulder. 3-4 wks recovery versus a permanent problem. I have to say when he walked off he wasn’t carrying his arm in a typical dislocation manner, the arm generally has to be stabilised to prevent excruciating movement. That said, the arm position wasn’t typical for a fracture either, that usually requires a temporary sling such as the arm resting in the rolled up shirt. When I saw the slo-mo replay his arm goes down first which is a typical mechanism for fracture clavicle, we’ll have to wait and see.

The clavicle stuck up above the shoulder as there was damage to the AC joint and the ligaments which hold the clavicle in position in the shoulder blade. I was told by doctors at the LGI that they weren't going to take the risk to operate in case it caused nerve damage and a possible partial loss of the use of my left arm.

Years later I had an operation using some kind of synthetic material to pull the clavicle back into position, which at the time was a new procedure. It partly worked, but I still have a small bump on that shoulder. So I don't envy anybody who gets an injury like that. I think it depends on the degree of the seperation though. If it is the same kind of injury that I sustained he will have problems for far more than 3-4 weeks, but the severity depends on whether the 4 ligaments that hold the AC joint together were stretched or ruptured (as was the case with me )

You're right Orange Box. Years ago at the LGI they seemed to not know how to best deal with an AC joint seperation, though now I suspect that it's a fairly routine op. I would guess that there is a pretty high chance that it's the clavicle, as it's a very typical type of sports injury. Let's see though, and as you say, fingers crossed. Remember all the problems which Bryan Robson had at the 1986 world cup when his shoulder dislocated if it is the shoulder?
