Re: Today's Games
France are defensively very solid.
It will take a very special performance to beat them
Would love it if England can beat them in the final.

Moller has been useless, no idea why Low has kept him on

Re: Today's Games
If this finishes 1-0, the Germans will get slated in the home press. Expect a more incisive team going forward, they won’t be popular.

WR, enjoyed your commentary tonight, far better than McCoist.

Cheers, you need a translator for Ally.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:56 pm WR, enjoyed your commentary tonight, far better than McCoist.
I had some Yank called Taylor Twellman commentating on ESPN, he was actually good and way less annoying than some of the knobhead British commentators.
Midnight here in Bulgaria so off to bed, goodnight all

I have a lot of time for Yank sports broadcasting, they talk the talk well enough and they clearly get proper football fans (who actually call it football) to do the coverage. If I heard the word soccer even once it'd have turned me off immediately.White Riot wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 9:00 pm Cheers, you need a translator for Ally.

Re: Today's Games
Germany are solid enough in defence but Gundagon playing as deep as did tonight adds nothing. Same happened when City played him there this season.
Also fairly toothless up front. Muller is too old and Havertz isn’t international standard yet. As for Werner....... he’s been dire all season, so if you’re depending on him to turn a game you really are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Finland make the short journey to Saint Petersburg to take on Russia, a team they have not beaten for over a century, in the second round of Group B matches.
• The Finns marked their EURO finals debut with a 1-0 win against Denmark in Copenhagen on Matchday 1, Joel Pohjanpalo heading the only goal on the hour. Finland goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky subsequently saved a Pierre-Emile Højbjerg penalty to give Finland victory in a game that was suspended following a medical emergency involving Denmark's Christian Eriksen.
• Russia will need to regroup quickly after going down 3-0 against Belgium in Saint Petersburg on Matchday 1.

Finland take the lead and looking good to make the last 16. Russia are dreadful.

Winter War Derby is a good watch so far. Two not very good teams playing with a lot of energy and desire always makes it entertaining.
