Didn't see the game but seemed like a decent showing from the reports.

Looks like none of the 23's will get a start in the Cup having all played 45 minutes or more. I think Forshaw was the only one not used. Shame. I'd have liked to have seen Summerville, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Cresswell, Jenkins and Drameh getting a game. Maybe part of the thought was that the 23's would have got a real thumping today if we'd held back some players.

You could be right there... Their league position and standing is much more important than a 1st team cup game..

I still suspect that some of them will be starting in the cup match, but replaced at half time maybe....??

Assuming you mean, we can't afford for the 23's to get relegated? If so, I agree with that. When I made the comment though I was just thinking how demoralizing it would be if we pulled a few key players for the 1st team, replace them with U18's and then they get thumped 6 nil.

I don't know that anyone would play 45 minutes 2 days in a row. But I really don't know much either.
