I dont get this tbh, i dont get how the club can clearly be feeding Phil Hay the central midfield is the priority line all summer, only try a loan with no option to buy for Gallagher and then a £4mil bid for O'brien ( £4mil gets you nothing these days) for our priority position.

Then forget that and spend £25-£30mil on a winger.

If we had £25mil to spend then surely on the app that Orta uses the tool for transfers there must have been dozens of cms at that price we could have signed.

Atleast he answered the question but the idea a near 30 year old with 1 season of Premier League experience (when he got relegated) who has been out for 2 years is going to be the answer is beyond risky. Has any player ever got so much better through injury? The way people talk about Forshaw you would think he played a vital role in promotion (rather than playing 0 minutes and for the club to score less goals and concede more goals and get less points per game in the games he played the season before).

We were short on options and the club knew that hence why a cm was on the list anyway, that hasnt changed.

Return to fitness? He's played a few u23s games and 60 mins v Crewe. Willing to bet he won't play a single minute in the PL.

Let's be honest, it was oh so embarrassingly predictable this would be their stance. They were fooling no one.
