Liverpool fans must be disappointed at only the one signing, that being a centre back as well.

Puts things into perspective regarding our transfer business which tbh doesn't look that bad by comparison.

yeah buying one player, 96 million for Lukaka and 1.5 million for Gray. it boggles the mind.

At the end of the season I wonder how many million one goal will cost?

I watched their last two friendlies prior the the start of this season, believe me they have two quality XI's.

Young Harvey Elliott at 18yo looks a quality footballer, he is so good the young man is keeping more experienced stars on their bench. A England player in the making :eng: may make next years World Cup squad.
True- but you know what an entitled lot the scousers are- they will always find something to moan about, especially as the team at the other end of the East Lancs Road have spent a fortune. :)

Huddersfield Chairmen Phil Hodgkinson has revealed that he rejected 4 offers for Lewis O'brien from us with the last one amounting to £13million.

The Chairmen revealed that the structure of the deal was the issue not the fee.

Thank god they did, what on earth were we thinking? We paid £13mil for a German international 12 months ago, now we were willing to spend that on a lower end Championship midfielder.

Has Orta had a nasty bang to the head in the last 12 months?

Last summer we were absolutely correct to ignore the inflated domestic market, this summer we were willing to overspend on Dan James and Lewis O'Brien (they would have cost more combined than Llorente and Raph cost) absolute madness.

Thank the lord they rejected it.

Orta needs to give his head a good old shake if he was prepared to spend £13m on O'Brien especially as our initial offers were around the £3m to £5m.......what was he thinking?

Arthur Cabral 20 goals already this season and now in the Brazil squad. We should've signed him instead of Rodrigo! Annoys me how we get linked with these players and then they end up becoming ballers elsewhere. Noa Lang another one, now Arsenal and AC Milan are after him.

leeds have been linked with so many players, most of it is hog wash and does not reflect on real interest from the club. Also just because a player does well in one environment means nothing really. There are so many variables.

Cabral also plays in Switzerland which is currently 14th in the league rankings behind the US, the Championship and Turkish leagues amongst others.
