Re: Leeds Utd V Liverpool Match Thread
I'd say there is zero chance of Bielsa panicking, and zero chance of him changing his philosophy.
We were beaten by 2 top 4 sides. This does not make us relegation fodder, it doesn't mean we now write off players who have done so much, it doesn't mean we change a system that has served us so well.

Oh in the interests of fair play and unbiased reporting . . Stuart Dallas was the worst player on the pitch imo.

If he thinks Bamford, Phillips, Meslier and others are mediocre, he should be allowed move to a club where he can massage his ego.
But I think he can write off ManU and Liverpool type clubs coming in, because he's been mediocre himself against them.
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

Yep. Being picked on reputation now. You can't expect someone in their 30s to keep playing at that intensity forever. Look how Klich struggled last year.

Yes that's the players I was thinking.becchio bear wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 6:10 pm![]()
Love the way you pick class players from our team and think Raph thinks they are mediocre... How about Cooper, Roberts, Ayling et al Loads of players not on their game today. Raph doesn't come across as a player with an ego... looks like you are making a Mountain out of a molehill

Don't doubt KP and Meslier wouldn't be off at the drop of a hat if a Champions League club came in for them.

Unfortunately we are relying on the likes of Ayling, Cooper, Dallas, Roberts, Klich this season. Unless we give the youngsters a chance. Oh look I just saw a pig flying.

Most are not delusional enough to think we were going to win in OT or today, but we gave Pool a proper challenge in both games last season, and Man U in our home game. Today it looked like an FA Cup game between teams in different leagues. We look like we’re going backwards.
Realistically they should have been four up at halftime. We had no control of that game. We couldn’t build consistent pressure and we posed virtually no threat, aside from Rodrigo’s chance and Bamford’s excellent improvisation from the half way line. It was all about damage limitation.
There better be a plan B sharpish or we will be quickly classed as the relegation fodder for this year and that will bring serious pressure on us.

Good sides have defensive shape , and clue what the others are doing,we currently have neither. Games are reasonably entertaining though.

We look so bad against the best sides. For the life of me today i couldn't give you a Leeds tactical explanation. We have seen it so many times, if a team presses high and cuts of the space in midfield we haven't got a scooby doo what to do (not intended) when Meslier rolls the ball out to a defender. There is no easy solution when we are low on confidence, mistakes become more prevalent and we become desperate in possession. We over achieved last season and now we will have to fight for our lives.

Re: Leeds Utd V Liverpool Match Thread - Post match from RADZ on SKY Premier
Just finished the game (watching on delay). Massively outclassed and lacking much sharpness (maybe the international break was a hindrance to us). One thing I noticed was just how many of our passes were cut out, not by interceptions but by just poor passing on our part, hitting the legs of opposition. That has to stop as the loose ball leaves us in terrible defensive shape for the inevitable counter.
As for the Struijk tackle, I thought it was a very good tackle and just an unfortunate event how Elliott went down. Never a red and if that is not rescinded then we may as well all pack up and go home. But we're Leeds and we'll never get a decision in our favour with the FA.

I actually don't think that he would be so unprofessional as SG90 claims, and that he would throw his toys out of the pram. But if he is, I'd flog him straight away.
