If you're feeling down now, just wait till next summer when we lose KP, Meslier and Raph for a combined £30m and have Tyler Roberts up front! :monkey:

Trying to come to terms with relegation now and enjoy the last season with Bielsa at the helm, easier said than done but survival will be a bonus.

Yeah very sad indeed. Just hope it doesn't take another 16 years before we get back there. This squad too slow too many olds ones and no flag or quality in the side take away Phillips llorente and raphinha its bang on average and below

Relegation would be a disaster! I really couldn't see us coming back for a while tbh.

Half hearted attacking and poor defending cost us.
Was Firpo even playing as a LB as he was AWOL for most of the second half.
We were ambling around when the hammers upped the anti & smelt a victory.

Other coaches at this level have sussed him out.
TBF he's not the master tactician that some would lead you to believe. He's been sussed out by some pretty average coaches over the years.
He's a great coach who gets the best out of average players, but his tactics and game management have left a lot to be desired at times.

We're also reaping the consequences of having such a small squad and as a result most of the seniors look absolutely knackered at the minute.

You can't win games with just three excellent performers unless one is a striker who scores a hat-trick, fat chance of that happening.

Another powder puff shot from our goal shy midfielder, he should have buried it.

There will be a lot of pressure being brought to bear from off the field now.

With the extra investors coming on board there is no way they will stand by and allow this squad not to be strengthened in the coming window. We all know that Orta doesn't value the January window at all and that Bielsa needs players to have six weeks under him to understand how he sees things but I seriously doubt if that will hold much sway with those who pull the purse strings.

This cannot be allowed to fail. But that may mean that something may be forced to give between now and the end of December.

Three critical months coming up.

Bringing on Roberts to play right wing is symbolic of the problem, he has to use his bench better, was obvious we were fading 2nd half and he did nothing until it was to late.
What was the point of bringing Summerville on in the 91st minute :duno:

Can't disagree with you on that point, Bongo

Would have been a red card at the other end.

Well I felt physically sick, so I would assume they are very concerned Swannie.

I know Swannie, but the issues are obvious to see. We had a few problems last season but, I never felt worried, certainly not as concerned as I feel now, infact I was extremely positive.

I've seen it all before :

1981/82 - when we were woeful & relegated under Allan Clarke.
1992/93 the year after we won the First Division when we couldn't cope with the new back pass rule or win away from ER avoiding relegation by two points.
2003/04 - another dreadful season, we couldn't score or defend efficiently. Relegation was on the cards by the end of September.
2006/07 - our fateful -10 points deduction horrible season.

Unfortunately, we will panic buy Lewis O'Brien for £20m in January, which will just make things worse!
Please no :(

May as well throw Bate in the deep end.

If Leeds allow Dallas and Klich away for International duty they should drop them.

They are both looking done. Did really well imposing themselves in the first half but were basically done by the hour mark.

Boo Radley wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 5:46 pm We are a carbon copy of Sheffield United last year now. Management telling themselves that they are unlucky being caught with late goals, everything will be fine when players come back from injury, and that underlying implication that because of last season we are too good to go down.

Down they went for three good reasons, one was that they couldn’t score, even when they were on top. Second reason was that they couldn’t defend when the pressure on the defence grew. Finally, they lost confidence and began to believe that they would lose in the tight games and that became a self fulfilling prophecy.

That is us now. Something major needs to change quickly or we will be adrift with massive pressure growing from the support within Elland Road. That won’t help.
Indeed Boo  any team are in trouble if they can't score goals or defend efficiently as a unit.

Six goals scored & fourteen goals conceded in our first six games tells the whole story.

Said it for ages, his shots are more like miss-guided back passes ! Someone get hold of him and show him how to fooking hit a ball !! Too many occasions he pussy foots it with absolutely zero conviction.
