Imo they are both wrong, the answer is somewhere in the middle and if you get the balance wrong (as we have and so have Villa seemingly) then it is asking for trouble.

Good win but nothing more to make me happy. Really bad performance again.Ok Harisson was bad so too Rodrigo eventhough he scored but what is happening to Phillips. I know he missed a lot of games but he was really bad. Not buying any midfielder in the summer was a huge mistake.

3 points is all I cared about during game, now I'm annoyed about giving the ball away far too easily, looked like 2 teams desperately wanting to avoid relegation....in flaming October !!
What poor performances for most of the team, Meslier wasn't that bad, but 2 errors nearly cost us, Struijk, Raphina and Rodrigo were our best players, f@ck knows why we have an out and out centre forward on the bench and don't even use him, I knew roberts would come on, same old same old, Bielsa waiting for Bamford to get fully fit and poor Gelhardt will end up on loan.
No real cohesion in that team today, anyone notice that centre midfielder we bought in the summer went missing all match, waste of brass.

There's an enormous gap between PL and Championship. Norwich walked it, but are well out of their depth. Bournemouth walking it, but lost 6-0 to Norwich. Fulham walking it, despite being well out of their depth too.

We look very low on confidence and the performance was just about good enough to beat one of the poorest ever PL teams. We gifted them a goal but even if we'd won 2-0 it wouldn't have reflected how close these teams are in quality alone. They are both piss poor and I fully expect we'll be down there scrapping for our lives all season and I fear the worst . Take Rapha out of our team and there is nothing to shout about. Let's pray he doesn't miss many games because we are in big trouble. There's a nervousness about our play which results in far too many mistakes and costly ones .... Meslier and Shaks is an ideal example. Harrison near the end passing it straight to their player for no apparent reason setting them off on an attack. Doubt we'd have got anything against most other teams today but we did and that's what counts but the future looks very bleak at the moment and Bielsa needs to sort it out. I thought his subs made more sense today in terms of bolstering the midfield but to think that Forshaw and Roberts is the best we can do is disturbing however they saw the game out so well done.

I actually agreed with the Forshaw sub, as I thought he'd sit back. Yet Bielsa had him playing as a 10! Really hope he isn't considered a creative outlet.

We give away countless passes, free kicks and corners, which always costs us goals.

It drives me crazy SG. Do defenders not understand that to go barging into the back of players WILL result in a free kick. Do they not understand the art of shepherding attackers away. Yes we want to win the ball back quickly but it's like they've left their brain cell in the dressing room and keep clattering into the opposition .

Completely agree. We were really poor today and tried our best to throw away the points. Anyone still thinking Bamford, Ayling and Firpo playing will suddenly change things are delusional. The midfield is still the issue, lack of confidence from players and too much dithering. Kalvin has been a big part of the problem, I think his head is elsewhere already. Raph has interest too, probably more, but he's still carrying us, so it's not an excuse. We can't afford to ignore January, but I think we will, while Newcastle will go on a spending spree. We just have to hope we can finish above Watford and Brentford.

Gutted if Shack is injured. He always seems to when he finally gets a run of games. But it should mean Drameh gets a chance.

Bamford adds so much to the team. Not just goals but defending from the front, pressing keepers etc. I think his absence hurts us not just in the midfield and wingers lacking the focal point of attack, but the first line of defence.

Keeping Raph fit will make the difference! With him on form, we just about stay up imo.

Nothing other than a win was acceptable, but we won't face opposition that poor every week. We look just as bad as Norwich tbh, save for Raphinha.

Whilst I agree on todays performance we know that Leeds are nowhere near our best whereas Norwich are just Norwich. Get a result vs Leicester and suddenly it dosnt seem too bad.

I disagree actually.

We weren't good and would've been in trouble vs the majority the league.

Norwich however are worse and they don't have Raph.

Raph Will keep us above Norwich.
