Re: Chelsea v Leeds Utd Match Thread
I’m as disappointed as anyone but we played well and resembled the team from the last few seasons. That’s a positive, it shows it’s still there and playing like that we will be ok this season - 2 stupid mistakes for the penalties is what cost us.

2 ridiculous and completely unnecessary challenges for the 2 penalties. Hard to be angry at Raphina because he gives us so much else. But Klich on the other hand is just one big liability and offers us nothing

I'm actually in tears over that defeat. Tears of disappointment AND anger. Such an unnecessary defeat....

He'll get a new contract unfortunately.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 5:04 pm Add Forshaw to that too, pleased he's recovered, but there need to be no sentiment applied when we cull this squad.

Re: Chelsea v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Deserved a point! Referee’s generally favour the big 6 and do everything they can to help them win in tight games. 3 soft penalty decisions in my opinion and too many yellow cards for our players again.
We played well in that 2nd half especially after they went ahead and deserved to draw, a crying shame we just couldn’t hold on. I wasn’t expecting a result today but, once again, the way we lost out in the end was upsetting and frustrating - well typically Leeds like I suppose.

Fair shout that mate.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 5:00 pm Need a good clean out, which should have started last summer.
Klich, Harrison, Rodrigo, Roberts, Costa, Dallas, Ayling and Cooper can all go for me
Like you say the clear out should have started and now we're suffering for it.
If we go down it's on Bielsa and Radz .
What they have done previously means f**k all if we go back down after 2 seasons.

What are you talking about listing the cull of players. Idiotic rubbish. What are we going to replace them with when we haven’t got 300 million to spend.
We play like that week in week out we are going to be fine.

I feel physically sick Swannie.
I know we've scored a couple of late penalties but that is hard to take. I thought we matched them for large parts of the game and even looked better at times.
I'm not going to give Kkich the level of abuse others have given him but it was such a needless challenge

The thing is we don't play like that week in week out. There's no consistency hence where we are at the moment, and having to rely on other sides to do us a favour. It was a good performance, but bad luck, if onlys, misfortune, planets not aligned mean nothing, if we lose.

I couldn't be bothered DDB, thanks for asking the question. Where is the money for this huge cull?
Brilliant showing against a team we expected to beat us, only Klich was awful. Roberts is improving hand over fist at the moment and Forshaw was excellent in Kalvin's absence.
The defeat has cost us no ground on Watford and Southampton, but why look at the bigger picture.
On to Man City on Tuesday.

Cannot blame the keeper mate, its a lottery there. Focus on the challenges in the box of which Klich was just stupid. Guy was not going anywhere.
Raph penalty decision is what it is , Rudigar is stirrer so going in hard was obvious but foolish.

Free hit? We arent a non league team in the FA Cup.
No such thing as a free hit in League football, its such a doff your cap attitude.
No i see nothing.
We gifted the game to a poor out of form Chelsea side and got nothing.
Villa lost 1-0 to Liverpool will they be happy?
Sheffield United lost by 1 to Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Leicester, were they proud? No.
Being outplayed by a better team is ok, gifting 3 goals to them is not (and dropping 3 more points from winning position )
We threw away another game, there are no positives.

I didn't see any of the game Chilli so I can't comment on any of the challenges. I don't think I can bring myself to watch Match of the Day either. I'm sick to the stomach as wellChilli D wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 5:15 pm I feel physically sick Swannie.

I'm still fuming.
Three mistakes, three goals conceded.
A well deserved point chucked away.

CJAY - there has to be light with your shade. If it had finished 2-2 you would be moaning why we didn’t win
