That must have been a really exciting time White, seeing the great players of the seventies being introduced into the team in those early years. What influence did Bobby Collins have on the team? Was just a few years before my time.

Bobby Collins was a massive influence in Revie's early years, Don always said BC was his most important player after signing him from Everton, Bobby was tough as old boots!

My first experience of seeing Bremner & Giles, Johnny played on the right wing then.

Other names some Leeds fans may not be familiar with in the first game I attended :

Willie Bell, Freddie Goodwin, Ian Lawson, Don Weston & dear Albert Johanneson. Other lesser known players from that period for our younger fans I remember were Jim Storrie & Alan Peacock.

Living in the Midlands I was unable to watch them live at that time, although that came later. Obviously that team was special to me but have seen some great Leeds teams in the years since.
I went to my first match in 1970 as well. I was 15. It was Billy Bremner and Co. v George Best and Co. Ended in a 2-2 draw.

Yes I bought a book about 20 years ago which had a profile of every player that had ever played for Leeds up until that time, and those players were mentioned in that. My earliest memory was around the time the fringe players were the likes of Rod Belfit, Terry Hibbett, Mike Ogrady and Jimmy Greenhoff, excellent players in their own right.
